What Are Centred Soul Moments?
The offering is a recording from a live Insighttimer event called "a centred soul moment". It begins with Kamala explaining what a centred soul moment is and how, through her offerings, we can center ourselves, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The offering then moves into a guided practice. The session ends when we open our eyes and there is space for personal reflection until the music fades. These lives are generally offered every Monday and Tuesday. Blessings on your journey as a centred soul.

Just really notice your breath.
So yesterday I mentioned at the end of the last session that I'd really kind of speak about what a centered soul moment is.
It's a combination of different things.
So when we come and rest in this space,
It's not just a meditation or an energy practice.
It's a lot more.
It's a combination of things.
And a centered soul moment really combines these different elements of ourselves,
Which is the physical,
Emotional,
Mental and the spiritual.
So when we center ourselves physically,
What we're doing is really softening through our body.
And a really lovely way to do that is through the breath and you're also grounding your feeling into your body.
You're allowing yourself to feel safe or explore how that would feel.
We're also centering emotionally and what we're doing here is we are learning to be the container,
A compassionate container for everything that arises in terms of our emotions.
And that's when we're triggered.
So as we learn to become this compassionate container for ourselves,
There is just more space.
We can notice where we're holding on.
We are allowing the emotion to move,
To allow ourselves to feel it but not get lost in it.
And in doing so then we allow it to release.
We're also centering mentally and what I mean by that is we allow ourselves to step back to notice our thoughts and that we're so much more than our thoughts.
We move into the observer and when we do this we begin to notice maybe certain patterns or conditioning beliefs.
And that informs our journey of where there might be work to do,
Things that are unresolved,
Patterns to change.
A centered soul moment is also about connecting with your spirit,
Your essence and that is both you as an individual but also in terms of the earth,
Your community and just being part of the ocean of consciousness.
And what we find is when we allow our body to rest,
Our emotions to be felt because we're really moving into the container,
This compassionate container,
We notice our thought patterns.
We really begin to see that we're so much more than all of those and then as we rest in this way we really appreciate our human journey but also know at a deep level that we're more than that.
We are connected to everything and we are just an expression of consciousness in this moment,
In time and space.
When we center in this way we also know that we're not alone.
We are supported by different energies throughout the spectrum where that we can call upon for support.
And it's also kind of important to to see when we move past all sense of separation so we kind of fall into the ocean of oneness and we can call those enlightening moments where it's as though you don't exist,
You're part of everything.
And there's the paradox,
Paradox between the two.
So you are everything in terms of energy,
In terms of consciousness but you're also separate in this human form.
And when we can really acknowledge that at a deep level,
Not mentally but this knowing,
Then we are able to ground light and we can actually live in a way that dances between the two and integrates the two.
So that sense of being everything and connected but also this sense of being an individual.
So I felt it quite useful to explain that because that's what came through for me yesterday morning in terms of what I do because I actually do combine them all.
So we're doing energy work,
We are meditating air quotes.
So we're noticing,
We're calling on the spectrum of help and light.
We're softening through our bodies,
We're noticing conditioning and beliefs.
We're resting.
So it's a whole combination of these things and that's what centered soul moments are.
It's not one thing or the other.
It's all of them because you're all of them.
They're all the aspects of your being.
So just taking a few deep cleansing breaths and sighing out through the mouth and just doing that a few more times to really settle into your body and soothe the body,
The emotions and really follow that wave of your out-breath.
So it kind of falls through your body downwards and it's as though you're settling more and more towards the earth,
You're anchoring.
Then as you breathe in this way really feel or imagine your out-breath falling beyond your body into the earth.
You're really anchoring in,
You're energetically grounding,
You're connecting with the earth,
This powerhouse because you're of the earth.
When we do this we're really plugging in to that powerhouse,
The mother.
So as you breathe and as you breathe out notice where you're holding in your body.
This really happens when we are up in our thoughts,
This sense of contraction.
It's not wanting to put your feet on the ground because the mind is trying to figure things out.
What we do when there is a storm,
We don't go out to the branches of the tree but we move into the roots.
So breathe just really consciously out as though it's falling through your body into the air,
Through your roots and really allow your body to soften as you do this.
Notice if your breath feels quite shallow,
I want you to elongate the breath to really support that.
Support that grounding,
That sense of feeling safe in your body.
I want you to notice the lens through which you're watching everything.
So you really applying this inner attitude of kindness towards yourself,
A sense of tenderness.
So I want you to evoke a feeling of that.
What kind of image or thought or relationship evokes that feeling within your body and what it really is is a sense of your heart opening.
So it can be a person,
It could be a pet,
It could be the love of divine nature.
So you're observing through that lens as you breathe into the earth and this sense of kindness and tenderness allows you to ground more deeply because you're trusting.
You're trusting the earth,
You're trusting the fact that you're here and you're claiming your right to be here.
And as you breathe,
You're always scanning through your body to see where you're holding.
So we have these usual suspects of the shoulders.
You might breathe into the shoulders and the arms and allow that out-breath to ripple through.
We hold,
We can hold tension in our jaw.
So I just want you to take a breath into your jaw.
Imagine you can move and receive that energy in the jaw and as you breathe out,
Allow it to just soften.
Even if it's by a few millimetres.
Next time you take an in-breath,
Take it to the backs of your eyes,
Another place where we hold tension.
Just like the eye sockets,
Imagine you can breathe into that space.
You're directing the energy to that space and then gently sighing that out.
I want you to then just take a breath to the back of your head,
The base of the skull and then sighing that out.
Just really become aware of the back of the neck,
The spine and then the whole length of your spine.
I want you to take a deep breath into the whole of your spine and then sighing that out.
We'll do this a few more times and I want you to just imagine as you breathe in,
You're also breathing in light and nourishing colour.
So whatever works for you and if you're not a visual person,
How would that nourishing colour feel in your body?
So breathing into the spine,
The whole length from the top of the neck down to the tailbone.
I want you to hold the breath and then swill that energy around the spine.
So it's like when you hold water in your mouth and you wash out your mouth but you're doing it energetically and then sighing out in your own time.
Just repeating,
Taking a breath into the whole of the spine,
A breath of light as well.
Hold the breath,
Just swill that energy around.
It's a sense of movement through your spine and then breathing out when you're ready.
And just continue to do this and really notice where you want to feel into the body.
Where does it feel quite stuck or dense?
If you're not feeling it,
Maybe there's an image that you are getting.
Maybe the colour isn't as bright as you move the light around there.
And remember the lens of kindness you're doing with this with a real sense of tenderness,
Like washing a baby.
Last breath in this way and then just allowing your breath to have an actual rhythm if that feels right for you.
If you feel this sense of movement in terms of a thought or any kind of distraction,
Just keep your breath elongated so your breath helps to anchor you,
To keep you in place as we move through this session.
But also outside your session,
Your breath is very powerful and helping to centre you.
And it's a centre point between your spirit and your physical body.
So still aware of the whole length of your spine and the next time you breathe in,
I want you to imagine that light along your spine beginning to expand so that you're then gently held in this tube of light,
Nourishing light.
So it extends beyond your body to the front and the back and the sides.
You're just held in this tube of light as you breathe.
And that light is falling through your body into the earth.
That light reaches down through your roots to the earth.
Just for a few moments,
I want you to imagine that your out-breath falls through your body from the crown right down to the sole of the earth and your in-breath is received from her,
The earth,
Through your body right up to the crown of your head.
So that column of light represents your source connection and we give it different names.
So it's energy,
The universe,
The divine,
God,
Creator.
Different words for the same essence.
Just continuing to breathe at your own pace and you're in physical form and that's your connection also with the earth.
So you're receiving her energy as you breathe in through your body and you're acknowledging your source connection as you breathe out to the earth.
So that link between the two is you,
This divine being.
Just notice if there's anywhere in the body that might have began to kind of tense up.
Just consciously soften as though you have two very,
Very kind loving hands on your shoulders saying it's okay,
It's okay to rest in this way.
And as you breathe in this way,
Being held through your source connection and by the earth,
I just want you to gently repeat the words as though they're echoing silently through your being,
I'm safe.
Right now I am safe.
And just notice if any kind of thoughts arise that feel contrary to that and just invite them to just rest in the light in your breath as though you're blessing them to rest.
So when we kind of rest in this way and why people find it difficult to meditate is that we come up against a cross current and a cross current,
That's what I call it,
Is a thought pattern belief that says it's contrary to the fact that you're safe and that you're okay.
And when we notice them and move into a space of being able to observe with kindness and then invite that energy,
That pathway,
That conditioning,
Those experiences to loosen.
We just allow ourselves to be here,
To be present and what we do is we create new pathways in our system and when we repeat this that becomes the primary and it doesn't matter how old we are because the body and the brain is able to adapt and change depending on how we support it,
What we feed it,
How we hold ourselves energetically.
Still noticing your breath,
Still held in that column of light by Mother Earth and Father Sky,
Our source connection.
And as you rest in this way,
Just remembering that you're not alone on your journey.
It's not just those physical people and energies in terms of our pets as well,
Friends and family,
That in our lives there is also different energies through the spectrum of light.
And those are our guardian angels,
Our spirit guides,
Archangels,
Ascended masters.
And for me and for these sessions at the Healing Lodge I call in also plant medicine,
Crystal beings and energy,
Light beings,
Animal spirits.
I call upon the wisdom of my ancestors in this lifetime but previous lifetimes in all dimensions and universes.
So we have this pool of wisdom that we are acknowledging and it's a deep reserve of support.
It's always a sense of giving gratitude to the Earth for holding space,
For transmuting energies within us that they're just no longer required.
We've done that part of the journey.
We call upon and give thanks to the spirit of air,
This sense of spaciousness within,
This ability to invisibly move energy that's no longer required but also to bring in the winds of change,
Calling in and giving thanks to the spirit of fire.
This ability to transform and purify,
To motivate and bring warmth to our hearts,
To our bones,
To the flesh,
The sense of feeling held and giving thanks to the spirit of water calling her in.
This ability to move and to flow,
To give life,
Creation and there are so many other benevolent energies available to you so there may be something that you really feel personally connected with and you can always call those energies in to be around you,
To hold space for you,
To guide you and it never seems to come through as these kind of written words or these clear instructions but somehow at a deep level you know what to do or something arises.
And when we hold ourselves in this way,
We're centered.
It doesn't mean our life circumstances become easier but we're connected to something deeper that helps us to navigate this journey that we're on and when we rest in this way together we're just all meeting at this kind of watering hole,
Taking a rest,
Centering ourselves,
Giving thanks to all the support that we receive and then we move along on our journey able to withstand and move with grace through our own story and support others on theirs.
It's just giving thanks for all the energy that came in to support the session,
Giving thanks to each and every one of you for being here today,
For being here for yourselves.
When you're here you also help me to remember so much gratitude to each and every one of you.
Still noticing your breath,
Allowing that image of light to begin to melt into the body and as you do that just feeling into the edges of your skin,
This real sense of containment and you might even imagine a ball,
A sphere around your body which is your energetic boundary.
I'm just setting the intention that only benevolent energy can enter this space and that you have discernment over what enters your space.
And through your life,
Just knowing that the earth is beneath you,
She's there and that you,
You're part of source,
That also cannot be taken away,
Even when we transition,
You're still there,
You're still connected,
Just move on to a different chapter.
Beginning to deepen your breath,
And really breathing into the soles of your feet and then to the edges of your skin,
Beginning to bring small movement into your body,
Your body is still connected to the earth,
And then to the edges of your skin,
Beginning to bring small movement into your body,
Your fingers and your toes,
Continuing to deepen your breath,
Becoming aware of your eyelids,
Just breathe into your eyelids for a moment,
And then gently opening your eyes,
Welcoming in the space around you,
Blessing it with your sight.
