Morning meditation.
Good morning.
Today is a new day.
And this meditation is here to gently guide you towards the center of yourself before you start your day.
If you are still in bed,
I invite you to close your eyes and put one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
Take a breath and notice the inhale and exhale coming through your nose.
Pay attention to your feet and thank them in advance for their ability to carry you throughout the day.
We have a tendency to go to our heads as soon as we wake up thinking about the to-do list,
Thinking about our worries and this is why I invite you to go in the other direction and start with your feet.
Feel them.
Notice the left foot,
The toes,
Feeling each of your toes and then moving to the right foot noticing your toes and slowly coming up through your legs your genitals your hips your belly notice the warmth of your hand on your belly and move up to your heart where your other hand lies and feel the gratitude for your heart for this heart that is beating for this life.
We often forget that it's a miracle that we got to wake up today.
This is a privilege that many people don't have.
We woke up today and we can be intentional about how we want to spend this day.
Take another breath and ask yourself who do I want to be today?
What person do I want to be?
With myself?
With my family?
With my colleagues if I'm going to work?
With strangers?
How do I want to feel?
So instead of going to our to-do list we first ask ourselves how do I want to be?
Who do I want to be?
And how do I want to feel?
Take another breath and ask yourself which level of energy you have today on a scale from 0 to 10.
If you're below 5 I invite you to be really gentle with yourself and to not try to do more than you can.
Remember to honor your level of energy.
This may be difficult but this is the best way you can serve today by honoring where you're at or at least acknowledging that you are feeling depleted and you're feeling if you're feeling energized that's great too but I just want you to take a pause and ask yourself where you're at.
And as we're closing this meditation I invite you to find one word that you want for this day.
One word that will carry you through the day.
It could be kindness,
Compassion going slower it could be laughter or joy or peace whatever word resonates with you.
I invite you to write it on a piece of paper when you're done with this meditation you could also write it in your hand so that you have this reminder throughout the day.
And with this I invite you to take one more breath where you inhale this word for yourself and exhale it to share it with the world.
I wish you a beautiful day.
