Sit somewhere comfortable and close your eyes.

Relax your shoulders and your head.

Have your spine straight but not rigid.

Have your feet slightly apart.

Start to notice your breath inhaling through the nose and out through the mouth.

Is your breath deep or shallow?

Is your mind busy or dull?

Are there physical tensions in your body?

Continue to breathe and bring your awareness to any discomfort or sensations in your body.

We will not try to change it.

Simply notice the sensations without judgment or resistance.

Now let your awareness sink down to your lower abdomen.

As you continue breathing,

Feel it and imagine that you are breathing from the belly area.

Notice how the belly rises and falls with each breath.

Feel the sensations here as you continue breathing in and out.

Now bring your attention to the first energy centre.

The root chakra is at the base of your spine.

You can imagine the colour red.

The sound for the centre is sa.

You will sound it three times.

Breathing in.

Saa inhale saa inhale saa saa And the last time.

Inhale saa saa Now bring your attention to the second centre.

The seiko chakra is just below your belly button.

You can imagine the colour orange.

The sound for the centre is re.

We will sound it three times.

Inhale re second time inhale re And the last time.

Inhale re Now bring your attention to the third centre.

The solar plexus chakra is above your navel.

You can imagine the colour yellow.

The sound for the centre is ga.

We will sound it three times.

Inhale ga Inhale again ga ga ga And the last time.

Inhale ga ga Now we will sit here for a few moments.

Allowing the energy to move in our bodies to where it needs it.

So that it will replenish our bodies.

When you are ready,

Slowly move your body.

You can roll your shoulders gently.

Stretch your arms.

And wiggle your fingers.

Slowly open your eyes and come back to the room.

I hope this practice has brought you back more into balance and you are now ready to start your day.
