Welcome to your box breathing session.

My name is Kaylin and I'll be breathing with you.

So what's box breathing?

It's square breathing developed by a former Navy SEAL and it's used by people in high stress environments.

It has the ability to turn off your fight or flight and using this technique is an excellent method of relaxation.

We're going to distract the mind and de-stress the body together as we breathe.

So get comfortable,

Straight back.

We're going to begin with a few deep breaths just to calm and connect.

So let's breathe in through the nose,

Through the mouth as we close our eyes.

Let's set the intention of square breathing centering.

So let's envision in our mind's eye a cube and it's floating right in front of us.

It's just a slowly turning box.

And as your mind's eye draws the lines of the box,

Our breath slows.

This box in front of us has four sides and four breaths.

Together we will breathe in for four,

Hold for four,

Breathe out for four and hold for four.

So just keep that vision in your mind and we will breathe together.

Let's begin.
