Who doesn't want to know love,

Feel love,

Be love?

But how is where things can sometimes get tricky.

For this contemplation,

Let's invite the image of someone or something that loves you unconditionally,

That you love unconditionally.

There's simply ease there in the loving.

This could be any being.

There need not be any words exchanged.

For some people,

A cat or dog that you share life with is the most accessible and tangible experience of unconditional love.

Picture this being in front of you now.

Again,

There don't need to be any words exchanged.

This is simply about allowing the image of this being to offer a direct experience of love.

So in your mind's eye,

See them in front of you and feel the space in between them and you,

Completely infused with love.

Feel every pore of your being soaking up this love.

And then visualize the very same being to the left of you.

And if it feels difficult to access this today,

No worries.

You might wish to simply envision a bright,

Warm light.

It's actually not about the content.

It's about allowing yourself to feel love,

To be in the exchange.

So feel the presence of this being now to the left of you,

As you soak unconditional love into your entire body.

And then this being to the right of you.

This being who loves you unconditionally,

Who doesn't need you to be a certain way,

Or to achieve anything,

Or meet any conditioned standards.

Feel the presence of this being now on the right,

Soaking up this unconditionally loving attention.

And now behind you,

The presence of this unconditional love embracing you from behind.

Feel yourself enveloped in the warmth of this love.

And now below.

This being below you,

Perhaps in the earth,

Radiating love up into your entire body-mind.

And now above.

Allow yourself to be showered by the rain of this unconditionally loving presence.

Bathed in the warm light of this attention.

Remember,

This is the love that frees all striving,

All efforting,

Is the balm for all fear,

The salve for all wounds.

Allow yourself now to be saturated.

A few times I've made reference to your body-mind.

Free yourself now from the narrative that that's who you are.

And free this being as well.

So allow the lines of these forms to soften.

Leaving nothing but love.

Leaving nothing but your very being.

What we all long for was our very being.

We are what we've been striving after.

Who we truly are.

What we truly are has been calling us home.

Rest now in who you are,

Rather than trying to become who you think you should be.

If you meditate to be a better person,

You'll always be busy trying to be a better person.

If you meditate because you are in love with resting in your own luminous,

Infinite being,

You'll always be in love.

Rest now for as long as you like in this love,

As this love.
