Welcome to the luxurious bath meditation.

This meditation is intended to be done in a warm bath.

You might want to add some Epsom salts or essential oils,

Dim the lights,

Light a candle,

Play some relaxing background music,

Or any other atmospheric element that helps you feel relaxed and cared for.

The water should be warm but not scalding,

Allowing your body to rest and float with ease and comfort.

Let's begin.

Carefully step into the tub and close your eyes.

Breathing in and out through your nose,

Draw your awareness to the gentle rhythm of your breath.

Feeling your body gently expand and open on the inhale,

And relax and soften on the exhale.

Feel the warmth of the water on your skin.

Slide your body as far into the tub as you comfortably can,

Feeling the water lift and support your body.

Allow your body to float.

Feel the softening of your muscles as you allow the buoyancy of the water to lift and hold you.

Allow your breath to slow and stay present with the physical sensations of letting go.

Now bring your awareness to the other senses.

If you use essential oils or a scented candle,

Maybe there's a calming smell in the air.

If you've put on music,

Really listen to the movements and the melody in your ears.

If you have a candle lit,

Maybe open your eyes just slightly to focus your visual awareness on the beauty of the flickering flame.

Whatever is happening with the other senses,

Continue to bring your awareness back to the sensation of the water on your skin.

Using this time as a sacred moment in your day to tune inwards to calm your physical body as well as your internal self,

Slowing your thoughts and savoring the sensual experience of the water against your skin.

Draw your feet under the water and just gently stretch and curl your toes.

Circle your ankles.

And now relax.

Feel the feet and allow them to melt and to soften into the water.

Now allow your hips,

Knees,

And legs to be submerged.

Gently sway your hips side to side a few times until they can gently relax and soften into the water.

Feel the large muscles on your calves,

Legs,

And hips melt and release any excess tension.

Let the water wash it away.

Now bring your torso,

Shoulders,

And the back of your head under the water.

Feel your shoulders or sway your head back and forth a few times.

Feel that buoyancy in the support of the water.

Allow your body to move like seaweed in gentle water.

Let the movement slow and take a few more slow deep breaths as you allow your body to be fully supported by the water.

Bring the sensation of the water against your skin.

Now shift your body to however it's most comfortable in the bath.

Take a few more moments of slow deep breathing,

Really drinking in the sensations within you.

The warmth of the water on your skin,

The feeling of effortless floating,

The smells or the sounds that surround you,

The calming effects of the water.

How does it feel to be fully supported and held up by the water in the bath?

How much can you really let go?

Stay with these sensations as long as you like.

Feel free to stay with these sensations even after the meditation has ended,

Staying in the bath as long as you want and coming out only when you're ready.

Namaste.

A charming voice accompanying a magic ritual! A bit too short, though... Could you record a longer version to make it ideal, please?

Great idea for real-life mindfulness. I would love one that facilitates mindfulness while cooking, too!

Could not believe how relaxed I was at the end of this meditation. I frequently take evening baths to relax and unwind physically, but this meditation helped me unwind physically, emotionally, spiritually, all of it! Definitely recommend.
