Thanks for joining me for this guided meditation to quiet the mind and receive the blessings of silence,
Space,
Slowing down and becoming present.
So take a few moments to find a seated position and get comfortable.
Begin to relax and quiet your body.
Soften your eyes.
Let the brows unfurl.
Unhinge your jaw.
Relaxing the mouth.
Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Let your hands relax in your lap and close your eyes.
Begin to tune into your body,
Becoming aware of the energy running through it,
The vibrating beautiful present energy right here and now moving through your body.
Bring your awareness to the chest and feel the space around the heart,
The energy opening in that area,
Sensing your aliveness and your presence.
Relax the abdominal area and start to breathe deeply and slowly into a softened belly,
Each breath received into a softened belly,
Relaxing the belly,
Relaxing each inhale and exhale.
As you slowly breathe in and out,
Recognize the space and energy that's there.
And with each breath,
Becoming aware of that space increasing,
Opening up within the body as a field of sensation and energy.
Begin to widen your awareness out even further to the appearing and disappearing of sound,
Listening to and feeling the entire moment,
The here and now.
In the middle of this flow of sound and sensation,
Rest your attention on the breath,
Relaxing You'll notice before too long that the mind will drift into thoughts.
It's natural.
Just recognize that happening and then reopen to the space and sounds,
The awareness of the energy in your body and the movement of your breath.
Your breath is the hub of the wheel and as your mind moves out into the spokes of thought,
Just bring it back into the hub of your breath.
Relaxing with the inhale,
Relaxing with the exhale,
Making yourself at home in the flow of the present moment,
The here and now.
Relaxing with the inhale.
And periodically pause and check your state of mind and notice if you are here.
And if not,
Bring yourself to the sounds in this present moment instead of the sounds of your mind.
See if you can relax a little more in the body,
Relaxing the energy around the heart,
Just feeling what is there with gentle attention.
Relaxing with the inhale,
Relaxing with the exhale,
Knowing that you are here,
Right here,
In silence and in presence.
Relaxing with the inhale.
Bring your awareness back to your body,
Bring the palms of your hands together and rub them creating some heat and place your hands over your heart.
Take a moment to thank yourself for the gift of a quiet mind,
Of presence,
Peace,
Openness and silence.
