Welcome to this gratitude meditation practice.

The beautiful thing about this practice is that it can be done in any posture at any time of the day,

Whether you're seated or laying down,

Maybe you're going for a walk,

Or perhaps you're simply taking a pause at work.

Take the opportunity to really become centered in your body.

Allow yourself to find stillness in this moment,

Even if there are things moving around you.

Begin to notice your breath,

The gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely.

And then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Keep this rhythm going.

And with each breath,

Allow yourself to become more present and more grounded in this moment.

Now bring your attention to your heart center,

The space in the center of your chest.

And imagine a warm,

Gentle light glowing there.

And see,

Sense,

Feel and intend that it expands with every breath in.

Every breath in,

It glows brighter,

Setting the intention to cultivate a deep sense of gratitude in this moment,

Allowing this light of gratitude to grow and fill your entire being.

Let's begin by reflecting on three blessings from perhaps your day or week.

This is a beautiful practice to do daily.

These can be big or small moments,

People or experiences that brought you joy,

Peace or comfort.

Take a moment to identify your first blessing.

As you focus on this first blessing,

Bring it fully into your awareness.

And ask yourself,

How did this blessing make you feel?

Allow yourself to reconnect with that feeling,

Savoring it fully.

And now ask yourself,

Why did this blessing happen?

How did I contribute to this blessing coming into form?

This is an important component of a gratitude practice,

Is recognizing your participation.

How did you participate in this blessing coming into being?

Feel the energy,

The expansiveness of gratitude.

Notice that light within your heart glow brighter.

Now bring your mind to the second blessing.

What is it that you are grateful for?

Once again ask yourself,

How did this blessing make you feel?

Take a deep breath in and let that feeling fill your heart.

And now ask,

Why did this blessing happen?

Again considering the actions or choices that you made that contributed to this blessing entering your life.

Sometimes this can simply be the willingness to receive.

Feel the energy of gratitude glow even brighter in your heart space.

Finally let's bring our attention to the third blessing.

What is the third thing that you are grateful for in this moment?

As before,

Notice how this blessing makes you feel.

Allow that feeling to fill your entire body,

Radiating warmth from your heart all the way through every cell,

Every space.

Why did this blessing happen?

Again reflect on your role in creating or receiving this blessing.

Now we move into a space of fully embodying the energy of gratitude.

As you sit with these feelings of gratitude,

Allow them to expand within you,

Filling every cell of your being.

Imagine that warm gentle light at your heart center,

Growing brighter and stronger with every breath,

Embodying the gratitude that you feel.

Know that by cultivating this state of gratitude,

You are inviting more blessings and abundance into your life,

And helping to inspire gratitude within others.

We are made of energy.

When we hold the energy of gratitude,

We hold the energy of thankfulness,

And more of the same is drawn to us.

Now take a few more deep breaths,

In through your nose and out through your mouth,

Fully sealing in this practice of gratitude.

If you've chosen to close your eyes during the practice,

Gently open them now,

And bring your awareness back to the space around you.

Choose to carry this sense of gratitude with you as you move through your day,

Knowing that you have the power to create and attract more of what you desire.

Thank you for practicing with me today,

Sending much love and many blessings.
