Practicing gratitude can be truly life-changing. When we immerse ourselves in the energy of gratitude, we are invited to focus on the positive aspects of our lives, fostering a deep sense of appreciation and contentment. Gently directing our attention to the things we are thankful for allows us to cultivate a mindset of abundance and joy -- and to open the door for more of what we desire. This meditation will gently guide you towards a state of appreciation for your body and the gifts in your life, turning what you already have into enough. This is Caroline Paradise with Clarity Wellness.

You are listening to a gratitude meditation.

Settle into a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down,

Making any small movements you need to be comfortable.

We'll begin by taking a few deep breaths in and out of the nose,

Breathing in relaxation on the inhale,

Breathing out any tension on the exhale,

Feeling more relaxed with each full breath,

Giving yourself permission to let go of anything that may have happened before this moment,

And letting go of anything you may be anticipating or feel you have to do afterwards.

Let it all go,

Just for now.

Rest in knowing you're right where you need to be at this moment.

This is your time,

Just for you,

A time to open yourself up to the relaxation and peace that you deserve,

To restore your mind,

Body,

And spirit,

And maybe even to gain insight or a new perspective.

Continuing now to breathe at your own pace,

Imagine that you can breathe into every single cell of your body.

Breathe into every single cell and feel the breath reconnecting you with your body.

Not trying to do anything,

Not trying to get any place,

Simply being with your breath.

If you notice thoughts popping up in your mind,

It's perfectly okay and to be expected.

Once they arise,

See if you can just let them pass through your mind without judgment and then gently bring the attention back to the meditation.

No need to push the thoughts out,

But also not following them,

Allowing them to come and go as if they were harmless clouds moving across the sky.

Allowing yourself to become more and more relaxed and deeper within yourself with each exhale.

You will now be guided to reflect on various aspects of your life while holding the feeling of gratitude.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools that we have.

It changes our world for the better instantly.

It is impossible to feel stressed or angry or fearful when we feel grateful.

Gratitude turns what we already have into enough and it opens the door for more.

And so at this moment,

I invite you to bring your attention to your feet.

Your feet have navigated all types of terrain to arrive here at this moment.

They've brought you over hills and carried you through valleys.

They've supported you.

They've grounded you.

And so we thank them.

We celebrate them.

For every step they've taken,

We appreciate them.

And they can rest now.

They can feel comfortable and at ease.

Now bringing your attention to your legs,

Your ankles,

Your calves,

Your knees and thighs.

They've been your strength.

They've held you up and moved you forward.

They've allowed you to run,

Jump and dance.

And so now we thank them.

For every moment,

For every movement,

Every adjustment they've made,

We celebrate them.

And we allow them to rest.

Now bringing our attention to the belly,

Chest,

Back and shoulders.

They protect your most vital organs.

They've been your armor to the outside world.

They've protected your heart,

Your lungs,

Your kidneys,

Your intestines.

They've been your center.

So now we love and appreciate them.

They can relax and breathe.

Your shoulders no longer have to carry any more weight.

Feel them soften and drop ever so slightly.

And rest.

Now bringing your awareness to your arms,

Your elbows,

Your hands and your fingers.

They express your vision to the world.

They harness your creativity.

They hold and touch and embrace and applaud.

They have written down your thoughts,

Held hands and embraced loved ones.

Sending them gratitude now for enriching our lives.

We celebrate them.

We thank them.

And we let them rest.

And bringing your attention now to your face,

Your mouth,

Your nose,

Eyes,

Head and ears.

They allow you to move through the world seeing color and sunsets,

Hearing music and laughter and smelling the ocean breeze.

They allow you to speak your truth and express your needs and desires and dreams.

They make you uniquely who you are.

We appreciate them.

We celebrate them.

And we thank all the work they've done on our soul's behalf.

Now calling to mind the people in your life.

Consider the relationships that you're grateful for.

You may want to bring to mind a person in your life that you truly appreciate.

And envision this person in your mind's eye.

Contemplate what it is about this person that you truly appreciate.

Giving thanks now for your life just the way it is,

No matter what is happening,

Feeling grateful for the opportunities you have to grow,

Laugh,

Discover your inner strength,

Connect with others,

And learn more about who you truly are.

Notice how gratitude feels in your body,

How your energy feels.

Noticing the warmth,

Love,

And peace that gratitude brings into your heart.

Surrender to this sense of gratitude and let it fill your entire body.

Now as we begin to bring your awareness back to this time and place,

Send gratitude to yourself for making room in your life for this sacred time.

Knowing that anytime you want to come back to this feeling,

All you need to do is breathe and focus on what you're grateful for.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Take a deep breath in,

Slowly returning your attention to the sounds of the room.

Feel your muscles reawakening.

Notice the earth supporting your body.

You might want to begin wiggling your fingers or your toes.

Roll your shoulders or your ankles.

You can stretch if you like,

Just slowly,

Easily coming back to normal conscious awareness.

Taking one more deep breath in,

And when you're ready,

I invite you to open your eyes and be in full consciousness,

Back in the room.
