Hello,
This is Caroline Paradise with Clarity Wellness.
You are listening to a meditation in honor of your authentic self.
I'll invite you now to close your eyes,
Or if you prefer,
You can gently shift your gaze downward towards the floor,
Making any small adjustments you need to get really comfortable.
Take a moment to check in with your posture,
Ensuring that your back is upright and tall,
But comfortably so.
And on your next exhale,
Allow the shoulders to release,
Slightly dropping down and back away from the ears,
Opening the chest and the heart center.
Relaxing the muscles in your body now with each exhale and allowing them to rest,
Releasing any tension in the forehead,
The jaw,
The shoulders and the back,
The glutes,
The legs or the feet.
There's nowhere you need to go at this moment,
Nothing you need to do,
But allow yourself to be here,
Fully present.
Bringing our focus a little deeper inward now as we become aware of the path of the breath,
As it moves from the tip of the nose to the back of the throat,
Filling the lungs,
The chest and expanding the belly.
Following the breath as it expands and nourishes the body and then staying with the breath as it releases on the exhale,
Not altering or controlling the breath in any way,
Simply observing how the body breathes,
Allowing it to do so at its own natural pace.
Perhaps becoming more aware of the spaces between the breath,
That peaceful momentary stillness just as the inhale becomes the exhale and then again as the exhale becomes the inhale,
Bathing in that stillness each and every time,
Allowing your awareness to just rest in those moments.
If you notice your mind wandering,
Remember that thoughts are a natural part of meditation and it's okay.
The goal here isn't to clear your mind of all thoughts,
But rather to let them pass through your mind,
Not pushing them out,
But not following them,
Allowing them to exist somewhere in the periphery of your mind while your focus remains on your breathing.
So if you find your mind wandering,
You can gently guide your focus back to the meditation without judgment or concern.
You can do this as many times as you need to.
That act of coming back to the present moment is really the practice of meditation.
Following the breath for a few more moments,
Expanding your awareness now to your entire body,
Feeling the density of your body,
The energy and vibration of your body,
Becoming aware of what it feels like to truly be in your body and now expanding your focus even more,
Moving beyond the physical body and allowing your awareness to include the unseen qualities that make you,
You.
Your personality traits and idiosyncrasies,
Your likes,
Your dislikes,
Your habits and your quirks.
The characteristics that make you uniquely you.
No need to list them all or come up with them all here,
Just allowing whatever comes into your mind to be there.
Without any judgment,
Without analyzing or evaluating these characteristics,
Simply allow them to fill your awareness so that you are resting in the space that is completely and uniquely you.
I invite you to expand your awareness once again,
This time to include the experiences you've had throughout your life that have shaped who you've become today.
See if you can avoid labeling or judging these experiences as good or bad,
But rather simply allowing them to wash over you collectively with the understanding that they've all helped make you who you are at this moment.
Just sitting in this energy now,
This essence of all that is you,
Physically,
Mentally,
Emotionally and spiritually you.
This is the authentic you.
Realizing that this authentic you is whole and perfect and more than enough.
Understanding deeply that this authentic you is in the exact right place in your life at this moment in time.
Knowing that this authentic you possesses all of the wisdom,
Strength and skills needed to make your goals and your dreams come true.
As you rest in this space,
Knowing now that your strength comes from honoring and embracing this authentic you,
No matter who you're with or what situation you're navigating.
Who you are is where your power is.
We'll begin now to gently,
Slowly bring ourselves back to this time and place by focusing once again on the breath.
Realizing that any time you want to access this energy of your authentic self,
You can do so simply by becoming still and going within.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Taking a nice deep cleansing breath and giving thanks to yourself for making time to nourish and honor and restore yourself today.
Slowly returning your attention to the sounds of the room.
Beginning to feel your muscles reawaken.
As you notice the density of your body once more,
The floor supporting you beneath your feet.
You may want to wiggle fingers or toes,
Roll the shoulders or the neck.
You can stretch if you like.
Gently coming back to normal conscious awareness.
I'll now ring a soft bell three times,
After which I'll invite you to gently open your eyes and be in full consciousness back in the room.
