Hello and welcome to your breath work session today.

We are going to practice Breath of Fire today,

Which consists of powerful short exhales,

Followed by passive inhalations.

This breathing technique can reduce stress,

Boost brain function,

And even strengthen your abdominal muscles and digestive health.

So go ahead and get into a comfortable seated position,

Sit up tall.

And today we are going to do three rounds of Breath of Fire.

Each will last 30 seconds.

And remember with this technique,

All breathing is done through the nose.

You will powerfully contract your entire core,

Forcing your belly button to your spine.

That will force an exhale out your nose.

And then you will relax your belly,

Naturally allowing for a normal inhale through your nose.

Try to keep your inhales and exhales equal in length and at a consistent pace.

If you don't match up perfectly with me,

That is totally okay.

You can speed up or add longer intervals as you practice more and more.

So I'll do a quick example for you right now.

That is what we are going for.

So as we get started,

Feel free to place your hands on your knees or if you are new to this practice,

I recommend placing one hand on your belly as a tactile cue for your powerful exhale.

So you should feel your hand on your belly move towards your spine a little bit on each exhale.

So as we get into this,

We will start each round by taking one full breath in,

Expanding your belly,

Expanding your diaphragm with an easy exhale out.

And then I will say deep breath in for fire.

That is when you will do a deep breath in as we prepare for the round and we will go for 30 seconds.

Again we will repeat this for a total of three rounds today.

All right,

Here we go.

Deep breath in.

Let it out.

And deep breath in for fire.

Five more seconds.

And let it out.

Take a couple breaths.

Beautiful work.

And here comes round two.

Take a deep breath in.

Let it out.

And deep breath in for fire.

One more second.

And let it out.

Amazing.

One more round to go.

So take a deep breath in.

Let it out.

And deep breath in for fire.

Five more seconds.

And let it out.

Amazing,

Amazing work.

Let your breathing return to normal.

And enjoy the grounded,

Connected,

Energized feeling coursing through you right now.

Be sure to thank your body today and I'll see you next time.
