Here's something that I've come to believe throughout my creative journey,
That when you create,
You're also creating yourself.
Creativity is a two-way exchange.
Every time you engage with it,
You're developing not only your skills,
But also your understanding of who you are and what you're capable of.
Think of it this way,
Every step you take in exploring your creativity is a step towards growth.
Even if the result isn't what you expected,
You've still gained something.
You've discovered something new about yourself,
Your process or your interests.
And that's why curiosity is such a valuable tool in the creative process.
It points the way to what's next for you,
Guiding you toward the places you're meant to grow.
Maybe you're curious about who you will become if you really leaned into your creativity.
If you gave yourself permission to explore without judgment.
Maybe you could even let go of the need to be perfect and embrace the adventure of discovery.
So here's my invitation for you today.
Take a moment right now and ask yourself the question,
What am I curious to creatively explore?
Get comfortable,
Close your eyes if you're in a safe space to do so.
Place one hand on your belly,
One on your heart.
Take a deep breath in and out.
And ask yourself the question,
What am I curious to creatively explore?
Notice what comes up.
You might be surprised or you maybe already know.
Either way,
There's no pressure,
Just gentle observation.
I hope you've enjoyed today's exploration of curiosity and its role in creativity.
I'd love for you to share what's coming up for you in the classroom and let me know what are you curious to create and what are you eager to explore.
Sharing our creative journeys helps us inspire and encourage each other and I'm here to support you along the way.
So what are you curious to creatively explore?
I'm Caroline Inkle,
Coach and creative practitioner wishing you a wonderful day filled with curiosity and creative adventure.
