Welcome to this calming sleep meditation.

This is your time to let go of the day and ease into a deep and restful sleep.

Finding a comfortable position,

Lying down in your bed.

Allow your body to sink into the mattress.

Feeling completely supported.

Close your eyes and take a slow,

Deep inhale.

And exhale softly.

Let us begin by relaxing the body.

Bring your awareness to the top of your head.

Notice any tension that may be there.

Imagine a warm and gentle wave of relaxation washing over you.

Feeling this wave of relaxation moving slowly down into your forehead.

And smoothing away any stress or worry.

It gently moves into your eyes,

Your cheeks and your jaw.

Allowing them all to soften and release any tension.

Feel the soothing relaxation flowing down your neck and into your shoulders.

Letting go of any tightness,

Softening your shoulder blades.

Your arms become heavy and relaxed.

From your upper arms and down into your forearms.

All the way to the tips of your fingers.

Feeling that wave of relaxation as it very gently and very slowly moves through your body.

Bring your awareness to your chest.

Feeling it rise and fall with each gentle breath.

Allowing the relaxation to spread into your tummy as it releases any held tension.

And from here it begins to flow gently down into your hips.

And now into your thighs.

Feeling your legs become heavy and warm.

As this wave of relaxation moves down through your knees.

Your hips,

Your calves,

Your ankles and finally to the soles of your feet.

Your entire body is now completely relaxed.

Sinking deeper into comfort and peace.

I want you now to imagine that there is a version of you that is standing at the edge of a tranquil lake.

It is dusk.

The water is smooth like glass.

And you can see the reflection of the beautiful deep blue sky above in the water.

There is a soft breeze gently rustling through the trees.

And it is carrying the gentle scent of the calming lavender.

You take a slow step forward and feel the cool soft sand beneath your feet.

You listen to the rhythmic lapping of the water like a soothing lullaby from nature itself.

As you walk along the shore you notice a small wooden boat gently bobbing along the water's edge.

It looks inviting and safe,

Waiting just for you.

You step inside and settle onto the cushioned seat.

You feel completely at ease.

The boat begins to drift slowly across the lake,

Gliding effortlessly.

The water sparkles beneath you and the stars begin to twinkle above.

You feel like you are wrapped in a blanket of serenity.

With each breath you feel lighter,

As if floating with the boat,

Carried by the gentle embrace of the water.

The further you drift,

The more peaceful you feel.

Worries dissolve into the night air.

You are safe.

You are completely at peace.

Embraced by the calmness of this moment.

And soon the boat gently slows,

Coming to rest in the middle of the lake.

You lean back,

Feeling weightless,

As if you are floating on air.

The night sky watches over you,

Whispering sweet dreams as your breath becomes slower,

Deeper,

Softer.

There is nowhere to be,

Nothing to do.

Just this moment of perfect stillness.

You are calm.

You are safe.

And you are at peace.

As you now drift off into a deep sleep,

Carried by the soft embrace of your dreams.

Sleep well,

My friend.

Sleep well.
