Transcript

Hi and welcome to this meditation for the second trimester of pregnancy.

This is often a time where pregnant women start to feel more connected to their baby as they experience growth and increased energy,

But this might not be the case for you.

Every pregnancy is different,

Every woman is different,

So just honor how you're feeling throughout this process.

There is no right or wrong.

Let's start by finding a comfortable seated position,

Perhaps with a cushion supporting your lower back or lying on your side if that feels better for you.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

Again inhale,

Exhale,

Keep following your breath.

As we begin this meditation,

Start to bring your awareness inward.

The second trimester is often a time of growth and renewed energy.

Your body is adapting to the changes of pregnancy and your baby is growing stronger each day.

With each breath,

Allow yourself to feel connected to this beautiful transformation happening within you.

Take another deep breath in through your nose,

Feeling the air fill your lungs and expand into your belly.

As you exhale,

Let go of any tension or stress.

Allow your body to relax and to soften into this moment.

Now place your hands on your belly.

Notice how your body has changed and grown to make space for the life inside of you.

Feel the gentle movements of your baby.

Perhaps you're starting to feel flutters or a kick.

Allow these sensations to remind you of the connection you share and how your body and your baby are working in perfect harmony.

As you breathe,

Imagine that with each inhale you are sending love,

Nourishment and strength to your baby.

With each exhale you are releasing any worry,

Any doubt or fear.

Now visualize a vibrant glowing energy surrounding your body and your baby.

This light can be any color that feels right for you.

Maybe a soft pink or a calming blue.

It can be a golden glow.

But with each breath this light grows brighter and stronger,

Enveloping both you and your baby in warmth and protection.

As you sit in this light,

Allow yourself to focus on how capable and powerful your body is.

You are in a season of growth both physically and emotionally.

With every day your baby is growing and you are growing too.

In love,

In strength and in connection with yourself and your child.

Follow your breath as it moves in and out of your body,

Moving through you and your baby.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Now taking time to offer gratitude to your body for the incredible work it's doing.

Repeating either in your mind or out loud,

My body is strong and I trust it to support my baby and me.

I am connected to my baby and I feel their presence within me.

My baby and I are growing together in perfect harmony.

I am grateful for this journey and the changes that it brings.

Now allow these affirmations to settle in as you continue to breathe deeply and steadily.

Feel the rise and fall of your belly,

Maybe the gentle movements of your baby and the energy that flows between you.

Let go of any pressure to be perfect because you are enough just as you are.

As we near the end of this meditation,

Take a moment to send love and kindness to yourself and to your baby.

You are both on a beautiful journey and each day brings new strength,

Joy and connection.

When you're ready,

Gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Bringing awareness back into your body and your surroundings.

You can open your eyes and moving through the rest of your day with a sense of calm,

Gratitude and love for yourself and your growing baby.

I hope you have a beautiful day.

Namaste.
