Welcome to this first trimester meditation.
This meditation is designed to support your relaxation,
Connection with your body,
And prepare for the changes ahead.
Find a comfortable seated position either on a cushion or in a chair with your feet firmly grounded on the floor.
Close your eyes softly and take a deep breath in and a slow breath out.
Again inhale,
Exhale.
Now let's begin by bringing awareness to your body,
To the space you're creating within.
The first trimester is a time of profound transformation,
Both physically and emotionally.
And as you begin this journey give yourself permission to be present with whatever sensations,
Emotions,
And thoughts may arise.
Let's take another deep breath in through the nose,
Feeling your belly gently expand and exhale out your mouth,
Letting go of any tension you may be holding.
Now keeping your awareness on your breath,
Feel the natural rise and fall of your belly with each inhale and exhale.
Notice how your body responds with every breath,
Softly guiding you deeper into relaxation.
And as your baby begins to form,
The breath becomes a sacred connection between you and your child.
Each inhale brings in nourishment and life,
While each exhale is an opportunity to let go of anything unnecessary.
With every breath,
Allow yourself to soften.
If any areas of your body feel tight or tense,
Gently acknowledge them without judgment.
Offer them the space to relax and ease with each exhale.
Know that it's okay to feel a variety of emotions during this time,
As you are nurturing yourself and the life within you.
Now place your hands gently on your lower belly.
Feel the warmth of your hands and visualize a soft golden light radiating from your palms into your womb.
This light represents love,
Safety,
And growth.
With every breath,
Imagine this light expanding,
Creating a safe and peaceful environment for your baby to grow and thrive.
As you sit here breathing deeply and allowing yourself to relax,
Repeat these affirmations silently or out loud.
I am strong and capable of nurturing life.
My body knows exactly what to do to support my baby.
I trust the wisdom of my body.
I am safe,
My baby is safe,
And all is well.
Continue to feel the rise and fall of your breath,
The warmth of your hands,
And the soft glow of the light surrounding you and your baby.
Let go of any need to control or overthink.
Simply be present in this moment,
Knowing that this time is a gift for you and your baby.
As we begin to close this meditation,
Take a moment to thank yourself for this time of rest and connection.
Know that whenever you feel overwhelmed,
You can return to your breath,
This moment of calm and peace,
And find strength within yourself.
Pregnancy is also a very important time to cultivate that deep connection with your breath as it will guide you throughout your entire pregnancy and your labor and delivery process.
When you're ready,
Gently begin to move your fingers and your toes.
Start to bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Slowly,
If you feel ready,
Open your eyes,
Feeling grounded and deeply connected to the baby growing inside of you,
The miracle of life growing inside of you.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
