The Edge Of Fear
by Cari
Sitting at the edge of fear. Just to see it. Feel into it. This is not a moment to work on moving it - but to recognize it and to name it. In this, we can safely sit at the edge of our fears and simply observe them and the hold they have on us.

So take a moment to allow yourself to find your space.
By now you know whether or not you want to sit or lay,
How to be comfortable.
Take a nice deep breath in and allow yourself a nice long sigh to release.
Allow yourself to feel the vibrations of the singing bowls of the didgeridoo,
Breathing,
Feeling the vibrations run through you.
Take a deep breath in,
Breathing out,
Allow yourself to jiggle and get a little more comfortable.
Focusing on your breath with the rise and fall of the chest.
There's no control,
There's no need for control,
Just watching,
Observing,
Feeling the chest rise and fall with your breath.
A nice deep breath in,
A long breath out and slowly the body starts to calm and release.
Breathing it in and bring that breath down to the feet,
Run it through the body,
Feel it and release it.
You're wanting your body to release and get to a gentle stage of relaxation.
You're not wanting the full relaxation to go into meditation.
Just for the body to release,
A nice deep breath in and a long breath out.
As you breathe in again,
Taking the breath down to the feet,
Feeling,
Releasing,
Allowing them to soften deeper where you are.
Breathing it into the legs,
Breathing it in,
Feeling the legs,
Releasing to loosen them off.
Breathing into the hips and the pelvis,
Allowing them to feel and open,
To feel the life creation,
To soften,
To drop deeper down to the ground.
Breathing to the stomach,
Allowing it to feel,
Allowing the release so deep that it drops down through the spine.
Finding breath,
Breathing through the spine,
Clearing the energy,
Spiraling through the spine.
Breathing it in,
Feeling the chest,
Opening the chest and the rib cage,
Allowing the chest to expand,
Releasing with breath,
Loosening the shoulders and the arms,
Softening the fingers.
Allow this deep vibration to run through you.
Breathing to clear the throat with a gentle swallow.
Feeling soften the face,
Take the tongue away from the roof of the mouth,
Breathe to the mind and release all thoughts.
A nice deep breath in,
Breathe out,
Sink down through the body,
Your limbs,
Your arms and legs are soft and light,
Your spine has settled against the ground,
You can feel the breath,
Feel the breath.
Feel the vibrations running through the body.
Rest and relaxed,
Allow your mind to go to your beautiful path.
I want you to take your path,
Walking gently towards your worry tree,
Allow yourself to release any extra thoughts,
Stress or concern.
Moving along the path,
Taking in the day and moving towards the great door of your beautiful sacred space.
As you approach the door I want you to stop and I want you to turn to your left and look down and see that there is a door nestled into the ground.
The key to your sacred space opens this door and this is where we're going today.
Take a deep breath in,
Breathe out,
Unlock the door,
Pull it back towards you and start walking through the steps,
Walking down.
It is dark but there is still some light filtering in.
As you're moving down you can see a platform just below,
Step down to that platform and stop there.
This is the edge of your darkness.
From here I want you to take a breath in,
Breathe out,
Stay calm and allow yourself to sit on that platform.
You can see,
You can feel,
You can connect to the edge of this darkness.
This space is the edge where you can see the very things that you have thought you have held onto as fear.
The little wisps that come past,
The darkness that floats below,
The sounds.
Taking a deep breath in and breathing out.
From this space you can see the edges of the darkness.
You can feel it against your skin.
I want you to start to connect to the feelings.
These edges are the things that you thought were once your fear.
These fears are the things that you think have held you back.
Afraid of heights.
Afraid of failing.
Afraid of succeeding.
Afraid of people seeing you.
This fear and you can feel it against your skin.
You can feel it touching your hair.
It is the edges of the fear.
These edges are what you have thought have held you all this time.
Sit and just allow the vibration to move through you for you to understand and know them a little better.
You can feel it touching your hair.
I don't want you to try to stop the fear.
I don't want you to fight against it.
I don't want you to solve it.
I just want you to feel the edges of the fear and acknowledge that they are there.
I just want you to know them.
What are they?
What are the edges of the fear?
The very things that you have believed all this time that have held you back.
I don't want you to fight against it.
Draw the vibrations in with every breath.
Draw them to that darkness and feel into it.
I don't want you to fight against it.
Take a nice breath in.
I want you to open your eyes where you are on the platform and look to see everything that's around you.
Look down and see that there are still steps to go deeper into this fear.
But for now I want you to stand and walk back up the stairs.
When you get to the top close the door down to the cellar and lock it.
And now open into your sacred space.
You may have a tear in your eye for how light and beautiful it is in here.
And on your heart you feel the beauty of those flowers in that beautiful garden.
I want you to walk through the garden down towards your gazebo to where your journal is and sit and for the next moment just write down all the fear that touched you.
Don't try and control what comes out.
Just allow it to flow and flow.
What fear you felt,
What you saw,
What connected with you.
What fear you named and were able to label and bring to mind.
What fear you never knew and are yet to know its name.
Spend as much time as you need writing in your journal.
Allow yourself to return when you're ready.
Making sure you close the sacred door and enjoy your walk down your path.
I would suggest if you have time to move on to the next module with hidden secrets while you're already in a space of working with your fear.
