No matter the reason you may be starting a weight loss journey, it's always wise to take some time to prepare and achieve the proper mindset. Today we'll dig into our why, when and how. We'll rehearse our success in our mind's eye and feel our success.

No matter the reason you may be looking to lose weight,

It's usually very wise to take some time to prepare and achieve the correct mindset.

Many of us have taken this journey more than once,

And I think it's safe to say it's never been a breeze.

That being said,

Though,

We never want to hold on to any negative experiences,

Thoughts,

Or beliefs of the past when we enter into a new weight loss journey.

Will you join me now and prepare our body,

Our mind,

And our will to begin a new wellness journey?

Let's settle into a comfortable place.

Find a nice straight spine and take a deep breath in and a full cleansing breath out,

Letting go of any inner restriction,

Anything you're feeling holding you back.

Breathe in deeply and out fully.

Clearing your mind,

Breathe in one more deep cleansing breath and release it fully.

Start to settle into that softer,

Gentler breath,

That breath that just kind of soothes your body and your mind,

Quieting the chatter,

That noise that's always going on.

Allow your spirit to step away from your critical mind and allow yourself to observe without attachment.

Bring your thoughts to this weight loss journey in pure observation.

As any negative thoughts,

Stories,

Past experiences rise up,

Observe them one by one.

And then let each one pass you by,

Recognizing that none of these things are serving you on this journey.

Note now that each one of these is holding you back.

And one by one,

Dismiss them forever.

Now is the time to step into new beginnings.

Allow yourself to move into your own power and inner strength.

Feel your passion and commitment for this journey rising up.

Visualize your why.

Why are you here?

Why do you want this?

That thing that makes this so important.

Have you watched family neglect their health and suffer for it?

Do you have children or grandchildren you would love to keep up with?

Do you want to feel good in your body at an event in your clothes?

Whatever it is,

Feel yourself being there in your heart.

Allow that picture to become clearer,

Bolder,

And vivid in your mind.

Now allow the steps you need to take flow into your mind.

How do you need to prepare?

Who do you need to tell?

What will keep you accountable?

Do you need to create a menu,

Shop,

Prepare food,

Look at your schedule,

And plan for meals and movement?

How will you set yourself up for success?

And remind yourself that you deserve all this effort and time.

Schedule yourself in just like every other meeting,

Every other important thing in your life.

Now take some time to rehearse the process.

Rehearse it in your mind from planning and preparing.

From day one,

Going well and with ease.

Day two.

Week one,

Week two.

See it playing out.

One month of success and where you are,

How you feel.

Visualize your whole journey playing out in perfect timing.

It's time to come back now to our physical space.

Start to bring some light movement into your body.

Recognize your surroundings.

Let's take a deep breath in.

And release.
