I sit beneath the blossoming cherry tree,
Breathing in its sweetness.
I revel in her magnificence,
Earth,
Mother.
With every sight she takes my breath away,
Every smell,
Every sound,
Every step I take held by her steady ground,
Every raindrop that catches my skin,
Thunder that vibrates my being.
Pink skies at dawn and crashing ocean waves,
She is fierce and ruthless,
Gentle and loving.
Everywhere I go she holds me with reverence in her loving arms.
I sit beneath the blossoming cherry tree and I bask in her brilliance for I know that I am her and she is me.
In my flesh and blood and bones she lives in me and I embody her glory for I am the booming thunder,
The force that pulls the tide,
The cherry blossoms in bloom.
And beneath the cherry tree I feel earth breathing through me as I breathe through her.
And I know that wherever this wild and wondrous life takes me,
I belong.
So coming into a comfortable seat now,
Closing the eyes down,
Sitting comfortably with the chin tall,
And coming into the breath and just welcoming whatever rhythm,
Whatever texture,
Whatever way the breath is showing up for you right now without needing to change it or fix it.
And as you allow the breath to come and go naturally,
Allow it to settle you deeply into your seat.
Every exhale feel a deep drop down.
Feel yourself steady.
And as you feel the breath naturally in and out,
Rising and falling away,
Feel yourself become still.
Feel the parts of your body that are making contact with the floor underneath of you.
Ankles,
Your pelvic floor,
Maybe the soles of your feet.
And with these parts of your body can you begin to feel into the energy of the earth.
Even if you're not sitting directly on the earth or if you are a few floors above the earth,
You can still be aware of and feel into the energy.
And when I say feeling into the energy of the earth,
What thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions,
Memories arise?
How do you feel in your body and in your mind as you tune into the earth element?
What does it feel like for you?
What does it look like?
And resist the urge to look for answers,
Just notice what comes up physically,
Mentally,
Emotionally.
And as you sit and feel into the earth's energy,
From the base of your spine,
Can you begin to visualize a cord coming out of the base of your spine,
All the way down through the floors below,
Through the dirt,
And all the way down to the center of the planet,
Wrapping around the center of the earth,
Charging it with this powerful earth's energy.
Feel rooted and grounded here.
And as you continue to allow your cord to be charged with the energy of the earth,
Can you now bring your attention to the skies above?
Bring your attention way out into the cosmos,
And begin to ask for and invite bright,
Sparkling cosmic energy down through the skies above,
Through the roof above your head,
All the way down into the crown of the head,
And allow it to enter through the crown of your head,
Traveling down the back of the body,
Down the limbs,
And all the way down to the base of the spine.
And as it reaches the base of the spine,
Allow it to pick up a little bit of that earth energy,
And you can bring this mixture of cosmic and earth energy up the front of the body,
Down the limbs,
All the way up and out of the crown of the head,
Filling your entire body and your aura that surrounds you,
Your entire being full of this mixture of cosmic and earth energy,
Remaining still,
Breath,
Effortless.
And sitting with this vibrant mixture of cosmic and earth energy,
On your next inhalation,
Think so,
And exhale hum.
Inhale so,
Exhale hum.
So hum is the vibration for I am that.
Inhale so,
Exhale hum.
And as you breathe and you recite the mantra so hum,
Feel it traveling through your body,
Intertwining and weaving with this mixture of cosmic and earth energy,
And know that you are that,
That you are the earth beneath your feet,
That you are the entire cosmos.
You are the very life force that circulates through your body,
And you are everything you have ever needed.
Everything there is,
Was,
All there ever has been.
Feel the wisdom that this carries in your body,
In your being,
And know you are that,
So hum.
I'm going to leave you here for a few moments,
Staying with this high vibration,
Staying with the mantra so hum,
And knowing that distractions will inevitably try to pull at your attention.
Without worry or judgment as you get lost in thought,
Just softly return back to the mantra so hum.
I'm letting go of the mantra now.
Just allow your attention to soften back into the breath.
Feel the breath in the body.
Again,
Feel the parts of your body making contact with the floor underneath of you.
Feel your physical body here in the room,
In the space that you occupy.
Allow your attention to come back here.
And let's join our hands together at heart center and feel the connection between the palms and the fingertips.
Feel deeply connected in your body and to the earth underneath of you.
And know that no matter where you are,
No matter where life takes you,
You belong.
You can gently open the eyes whenever you're ready.
Just scanning the room,
Coming back into this beautiful day that you have.
And I invite you to spend a little bit of time in nature today if you can.
And thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me in this practice.
I wish you a beautiful day.
