Welcome to this meditation for when you are on the go,
Either driving,
Walking,
Doing housework,
Whatever is on your schedule today.
This is a meditation to connect for when you don't have time to sit down and close your eyes.
So let's start wherever you are.
Whatever you're doing,
Bring your attention to the breath,
To the air flowing in and out of your nostrils and the movement of the breath in your body.
Stay aware,
Stay connected to your breath and your outer movement.
This will create a double focus.
One part of your focus is on your breath and how it moves the body how it comes in and out of your nostrils.
The other part of your attention is on whatever chore or activity that you're doing.
Allow these moments of silence to go deeper into this double pointed attention in your breath,
Coming in and out of your body and the external chore that you're doing.
Keep bringing that attention back to your breath and to the movements,
Exploring this capacity to expand your attention,
To be present with both the breath and the outer movements of your day.
Anytime you find yourself immersed only in the external chore or on your mind chatter and forget about the breath,
Just come back to the sensations of breathing,
The air coming in and out of your nostrils,
Coming back to this double pointed awareness,
Awareness of breath and of the outer activity.
We're going to do this practice in silence for a few minutes.
Always remember to bring your attention back to the breath,
Making your breath and its movements on the body the primary point of focus.
From here your attention will naturally go into whatever else you are doing,
But your main point of attention is your breath.
Keep practicing,
Keep remembering to focus on your breath.
Practicing this breath awareness with the daily activities will allow you to be more present and alive in your day to day.
It is a way to take care of ourselves and not forget ourselves in the midst of external activities.
As this meditation comes to an end,
Stay with your breath,
Allow this practice to melt into the rest of your doings.
Thank you for coming back to your breath today.
May your breath be present every step of your day.
