Transcript

Rejection is a wound many times acquired in our childhood.

In an attempt to cope with that feeling of rejection that can be intense in our hearts,

We can try and please others and become who others expect us to be in order to avoid their rejection.

And despite all the effort to avoid feeling it,

There are situations that can bring the same old feeling and open the wound once again.

In this meditation,

We are creating a space for you to transcend that hurt and pain through the feelings of self-love,

Self-worth,

Self-acceptance and self-esteem that you can build over time deep in your body,

Deep in your heart.

Before we get into the healing,

Let's take some deep breaths together.

Let's take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Inhale to the count of 5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

And exhale to the count of 5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

Relax the jaw,

The belly and inhale once again to the count of 4,

3,

2,

1.

And exhale through the mouth,

4,

3,

2,

1.

Inhale down into the belly and sigh out.

Release your shoulders and your tensions in your body.

Continue breathing and bringing presence to your body,

Especially the regions of your belly and your chest.

When we experience uncomfortable emotions,

Such as grief,

Pain,

Hurt,

Resentment,

Sadness,

Fear or anxiety,

It's quite common that we try to make it go away.

By numbing it or by distracting our attention from it.

But to heal it,

It's necessary to feel it.

And for that,

I invite you to feel it right now.

Bring that uncomfortable feeling of rejection.

Maybe there is a situation that happened recently or there is this ongoing feeling that gets triggered over and over again.

So in this moment,

Release the resistance to feel it.

Don't be afraid of it.

Because you know that you are feeling it in order to be able to release it in a way that it no longer has power over you.

So when you feel that rejection,

Do other emotions come up too,

Such as sadness,

Maybe anger,

Fear?

Give yourself permission to pay full attention.

Get acquainted with this feeling in your body.

And if possible,

Rate that feeling according to its intensity from 0 to 10.

Being 10,

Very intense.

There's no right or wrong.

When you connect to this feeling,

Is there a thought saying it's either your fault or someone else's fault?

Does your system or your mind try to blame a situation or a person?

Just observe if you are judging yourself and if you're blaming yourself for what happened.

Are you making yourself or another person wrong?

Or are you occupying a position of the victim of the situation?

And as you feel it,

Just notice where you feel those emotions in your body.

What sensations you notice.

If you're not feeling anything,

Just try to breathe deeper.

Maybe start to notice some butterflies in the stomach.

It can show up as a tightness in the chest,

Throat.

Maybe there is heat or cold in any of those areas of your body.

Some people experience muscle contraction or can feel energy moving or even a stagnation which can also be numbness.

Together now,

We are getting deeper into the exploration of the sensation in your body.

So whatever it is that you encounter,

Just trust yourself and allow yourself to feel it.

Observe what's the texture of it.

Some people can really feel the material is made of.

It can be bricks or jelly-like.

It can be liquid.

Is it heavy?

Is it just like mist in your body?

Is it buzzy?

Notice if there's any movement.

Any taste?

Any sound or smell?

Maybe there's a color.

And if there is a color,

Which color is it?

Allow yourself to feel all the way through the material it is made of.

Right to the center.

Allow it to be there.

Breathe into it a few times.

Blow it out.

Breathe into the feeling.

Exhale through the mouth.

Breathing in with the feeling of acceptance.

And become one with it.

Accept this feeling fully.

Forgive yourself.

If there is a strong or repressed feeling of anger,

Allow it to move through your body.

No guilt,

No fear,

And the certainty that's not going to cause any damage.

Let your feelings show you the action to be taken.

Your emotions are there to show you the way.

And in this symbiotic relationship with those sensations of rejection in your body,

Just prepare to give yourself so much love.

So much love to yourself.

The same level of love you would give either a child or an animal.

Revert all that love towards yourself now.

That's it.

Just really let it in.

Let it into your heart,

Into your body.

Breathe that in.

In a way you haven't done in a while.

Allow yourself to receive that love.

And as you let that love in,

Just allow yourself to release that resentment.

Any resentment towards yourself or others.

And forgive yourself for the mistakes.

Forgive yourself for judging yourself as weak.

And remind yourself that you are learning how to turn those weaknesses into greatness.

And just a little bit each day.

And allow yourself to feel the kindness growing and growing within you.

Growing into your heart,

Growing into your body.

Maybe this kindness has a color.

Maybe it's gold,

White or blue.

Allow this kindness coming from your heart to circulate through your limbs and let it take it through your whole body,

Your whole circulatory system.

Take into each and every cell that kindness,

Let it take over you.

This kindness from you to yourself.

Allowing yourself to fully receive that kindness.

Take a deep breath in and out.

And take a moment to check back in to that feeling of rejection,

The situation,

The feeling.

And see if the number that you rated with has dropped.

It remains the same.

It is very rare that it will increase,

But in case it has,

It's just a matter of getting used to the feeling.

Just be gentle with yourself.

If needed,

Repeat this meditation a few times this week.

Come back in and feel free to use other situations that make you feel hurt or wounded or angry.

This healing meditation will help you to eventually overcome and transcend this feeling of rejection just because you are worthy of love.

You're so worthy of love.

You're born worthy and nobody can take this away from you.

Your journey home has started.
