Make yourself as comfortable as possible and just concentrate on the sound of my voice as you allow your eyes to gently close and begin by drawing in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Holding the breath for a moment and then slightly opening the mouth and releasing all the air from the body in a long,
Low,
Deep sigh and relax.
Just release any tension.
Send the body a message to relax and let go.
Let go now as I guide you by a scenic route on a journey of relaxation and self-discovery.
A journey that you will find most beneficial to your overall well-being.
It is true to say that the simple act of relaxing the body and mind has a positive ripple effect because how you think determines how you feel and how you feel influences the world around you and how you choose to think today affects all your tomorrows.
So to make these suggestions your living reality,
Let's begin now by focusing your attention at the very top of your head.
Tension often starts at the top of the head and around the neck.
So just mentally and physically allow all the muscles around the top of your head to relax.
Letting all the tension simply dissolve as you start to tune into your body-mind system and just relax.
Let any tension you may be holding onto to relax.
Allow the mind to relax,
Drifting further and further down,
Each breath relaxing you even more.
This is your time to just let go.
Nobody wanting anything,
Nobody needing anything.
Taking the relaxation into the face now.
Just allow the face muscles to feel loose and to smooth out.
Feel your brow relaxing,
Your forehead smoothing out,
The back of your eyes relaxing.
Tiny muscles around your eyes and eyelids,
Down into your cheeks and into the jaw muscles.
Just releasing,
Relaxing and letting go.
Create some space between the upper and lower row of teeth,
Allowing the jaw to just hang loose naturally.
Allowing the tongue to fall away from the roof of your mouth.
And should you find you need to swallow,
Just do that now as you let your breath continue to drift you down,
Down,
Down,
Deeper and deeper into a blissful relaxation.
And the more you physically relax,
The more you can mentally relax.
And when you can mentally relax,
You can think more clearly.
And when you can think more clearly,
Your life simply becomes clearer.
So just noticing how your neck feels.
Relax the muscles,
Let go of the strain and the tension that you may be holding in the shoulder muscles.
Feel or imagine all your cares and worries just rolling off your shoulders as you take the relaxation down now into the top of your arms.
Letting any tension you may be holding to just drain away.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And as your awareness floats down through the upper arms and into your elbows,
All the muscles in your forearms relax right down to your wrists and into your hands.
All the way down into the very tips of your fingers.
Your arms are now feeling so heavy,
So relaxed,
So loose and comfortable.
As you let go of all the tension in those muscles,
Experience them becoming calm and gently releasing and just tune into the feeling of simply letting go.
As you become aware of your breathing,
Notice that you are now breathing steadily and slowly,
Methodically.
And with each exhale,
Feel yourself just relaxing even more deeply.
And allow any tension in the chest area to simply melt away.
Melting away and letting go.
Totally and completely.
Bring your awareness into your stomach now and let the stomach muscles relax.
And as you do,
Imagine a ball of sunlight coming down into your stomach by way of the crown of your head.
Imagine this healing white energy passing down through your throat and chest and into your stomach,
The solar plexus.
For it is not your heart or your head that rule your emotions,
But your stomach.
So see and feel this sunlight swirling and rotating,
Feeling and releasing.
And as the light glows,
It warms and soothes and heals.
And you release and relax and drift down,
Down,
Down.
And in your imagination,
Send this sunlight out now to every cell of your being.
Every nerve,
Every bone,
Muscle,
Fiber and system of the body.
See this healing light flowing through your bloodstream.
And then leave the light there.
It knows what to do.
And focus your attention now around and into your back muscles.
Sending relaxation from your back muscles.
Let either muscle on the side of the spine releasing,
Relaxing and letting go.
Let go now.
Deeper,
Deeper.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Relaxing your waist now and the muscles of your lower stomach.
Down into the pelvic area and all the way through the thigh muscles.
Down through the knees and the shins and the calves.
Just allow all those areas of the body to relax and let go.
Feeling so relaxed,
So heavy,
So safe,
So comfortable.
And tune into that comfortable feeling as you allow that relaxation to drift on down into your ankles and into your feet.
Right down to the very tips of your toes.
All the muscles of your body are now so beautifully relaxed.
So glim and lazy.
So comfortable.
So centered.
Always fully in control.
And if there are any areas of your body that still feel a bit tight or tense,
You will find that you can relax them simply by giving yourself permission to do so.
Send a message to all your internal organs.
Your heart,
Kidneys,
Liver,
Stomach and brain,
All the other systems.
A simple message to relax.
And double your state of relaxation as you allow your awareness to expand.
Concentrating on the sound of my voice as I count down from 10 to 0.
And with each number,
You'll find yourself drifting further into blissful relaxation.
