I invite you just to close your eyes and relax.

Just begin to relax and notice how your head is actually supported by the neck.

Just notice how your neck is supported by your shoulders and your arms are supported by those shoulders.

Just experience,

Begin to experience the support as you relax your head into that support.

Relax your shoulders and arms,

Your hands,

Your fingers,

And trust that,

Trust that support that is.

And relax your chest and your belly.

Completely relax and notice the support it can relax into,

The given.

Relax your hips and your buttocks and thighs.

And notice the support that it all falls into,

The support of the chair or the surface you're sitting on,

That support.

Notice the trust you have in that,

The given.

And relax your knees,

Your legs,

Your ankles,

Feet,

Toes.

Allow all just to fall into the support,

Always present,

Always present.

And I invite you to move,

Focus now to the breath.

Just notice the breath.

You do nothing for it,

It's a given.

And as you focus on the breath,

Just allow it,

Your attention to flow in with that breath,

Out with that breath.

Just follow the breath.

And out.

And notice what story were you experiencing when you heard the word notice?

Just notice.

And gently follow the breath.

In and out.

Notice what judgment or story of past,

Future were you experiencing when you heard the word notice?

Identify that story,

Give it a first generation name,

And a picture.

As though you had taken a picture of it with your camera,

Just one picture that sums up the story you were experiencing.

And then allow it to move out of sight,

Follow it as it gets smaller and smaller,

Going back to where it came from.

Going,

Going,

Getting smaller.

And thank it for sharing its life with you,

Its entire life with you.

As it moves out of sight.

And then return,

Focus to the breath.

Here,

Now,

Supported,

Present,

Present.

And follow the breath,

Focus on the breath.

Completely supported.

Here,

Now,

It's okay to just focus on the breath.

What story would move attention away from the breath?

Identify it,

Give it a first generation name,

One name that sums up the story.

And one picture that sums up the story.

And witness as it begins to move out of sight,

Getting smaller and smaller,

Going back to where it came from.

And thank it for sharing its entire life with you.

Going,

Going,

Getting smaller and smaller.

And flow attention back to the breath,

To the supported one,

Present,

Beingness.

Breathe,

One,

And focus on the breath.

Follow the breath in and out.

It's okay to be here now,

Just this.

And focus on the breath.

If you should,

If you should be aware that your focus is not on the breath,

What story has moved that focus?

Identify it,

Give it a name.

A first generation name and a picture.

Watch as it goes back to where it came from.

Thank it for sharing its life with you.

And as it disappears,

Flow attention back to the breath,

To the breathed one,

Supported one,

Present,

Supported,

Here now.

Notice.

Notice.

Notice.

Notice.

Notice.

Notice.

When you heard the word notice,

What life were you imagining?

Identify it,

Was it past,

Future?

Identify it.

One word name,

Like a title to a book,

A title below the snapshot,

The picture.

Watch as it begins to move out of sight.

Getting smaller and smaller,

Going back to where it came from.

Thank it for sharing its world with you.

And then gently return to the breath,

To the real,

The present,

Here now.

Start it.

Focus on the breath.

Focus on the breath.

Focus on the breath.

Good morning,

Family.

Amazing way to notice thoughts (“my stories”), allow them to move past and find gratitude to them. Some of the deepest “release” I’ve ever experienced. Byron Katie is a bringer of miracles.

Thank you, that was so good. Funny how the trance of thought appears & that if we stay in that trance that is has a power over us, & then the moment we focus our breathe, it disappears from a place we cannot identify with. It came up, gave us a story of past present or future. It tells a story with feeling & convictions, then the moment you focus your attention on the breath it dissolves! Thank you, this has given me great insight that I needed to know today! Namaste 🙏🦋

I have been on Insight Timer for about 5 years. I’ve tried a lot of different teachers and styles. This is easily my favorite meditation on the app. It trains your mind to be the watcher. This is great for relieving stress, letting go of anxiety, and freeing yourself from loud emotions.

I love this meditation. It's so clear about distractions and bringing your focus back to the breath. I have been doing this meditation for six months or so at least a couple times a week and it still continues to work for me. There is some background noise because she's talking to I live audience. I rarely notice it

A really great presentation by a wonderful speaker, well paced and intuitive. Yes, there is background noise but it reminds me of group experiences and the energy that emerged.

I found her way of dealing with thoughts arising to be very compassionate and gentle. There are some occasional background noises, but not enough to be a problem for me.
