Owl in the tree,
Seer of the night,
What is that pulling at my sleeve where my heart usually tugs?
Or is it gazing upon me from tree branches at night,
The location unclear,
A witness?
Is it outside or inside of me?
What is this interception?
Oh,
Hello fear,
I see you,
You're here or there too.
Who are you,
Coos the owl above,
Witnessing higher above.
Welcome to the Birdsong Project's Meditation,
Fear and the Owl.
I breathe in fear,
I pull this fear into my center to accept,
Witness and see.
I feel it there,
It feels afraid of loss.
What is loss?
Where is loss?
I remember now,
Loss of what I thought I owned,
Something permanent perhaps.
Fear of loss,
Fear of another,
Fear of I don't have control,
Fear of loss.
What I can or cannot see perched from this tree.
I inhale fear of loss.
I exhale loss of fear.
I inhale fear of loss.
I exhale loss of fear.
I inhale fear.
I exhale love.
I love my fears,
They show me the holes in the trees,
Roots deep in the earth.
These holes I can fill with love,
Love from the owl gaining vision in the night.
Who,
Who,
Who are we?
I inhale fear.
I exhale love.
I inhale fear of loss.
I exhale love of all.
I love our journey.
I learn from my fears.
These are my teachers to grow more love.
I am loving strength.
I am wise owl in the tree.
I am peace also tugging at my heart's sleeve.
I see in all directions.
I am you,
Visions of us.
You are me,
Remembrance of all.
We are one owl in a tree.
Seeing in the dark is lit from our heart.
No fear,
Just love.
Who,
Who,
Who are we but free?
I inhale fear.
I exhale love.
I inhale fear.
I exhale love.
I breathe love.
We are love.
