Hello and welcome to meditation.
Today's meditation is going to be Inner Fire Meditation.
Let's begin by taking long slow breaths,
Sitting up straight and bringing yourself fully to this present moment.
Allow yourself to settle down.
Let your thoughts go to the back of your mind.
Bring your attention fully to your body,
To your breath.
Allow the waters of your mind to become still and calm.
Give yourself permission to experience peace,
To be here in the present moment without distraction.
On your in-breath,
Straighten your posture,
Lifting up through the crown.
And on your out-breath,
Relaxing,
Letting go of tension,
Dropping your shoulders.
As you breathe in,
Bring yourself fully to this present moment.
As you breathe out,
Let go of the last thought.
Let go of the day.
Let go of the past.
Simply arrive here,
Now.
Imagine that your torso is hollow,
Like a cup.
As you breathe in,
You fill up that cup from the bottom,
Breathing in long full breaths.
As you breathe out,
You empty that cup,
Breathing all the way out,
Letting go of any stale air,
Completely emptying your lungs,
Letting go.
And then wait for the next in-breath.
Every breath now,
Breathing in,
Imagining you're breathing in white light,
Or even white liquid,
And filling up the cup of your body.
Fill it up right to the shoulders,
Breathing in,
Filling up,
Even lifting your shoulders a little bit,
As you take a full breath.
And as you breathe out,
Release your shoulders,
Emptying,
Emptying,
And letting go.
As you breathe in,
Experience your belly filling up,
Expanding,
And your diaphragm expanding,
And then your chest expanding,
Filling up all the way to the shoulders.
And then as you release your breath,
Emptying out,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Your chest sinks,
Your diaphragm sinks,
And your belly falls.
Every breath now,
Long,
Deep,
Slow breaths,
Filling up and emptying out.
On the out-breath,
As we empty out,
Empty out your troubles,
Your worries,
Your stress,
Completely letting it go with the out-breath,
Like it was that easy.
Just let it go,
Breathing out,
Then breathing in a fresh,
New breath in this fresh,
New moment.
I invite you now to place your attention fully just below the belly button,
And imagine a small ball of red light.
This is a hot ball,
Like a red ball of lava.
As you breathe in now,
Imagine focusing all the energy,
Breathing into the ball of light,
The ball of lava.
I invite you to hold your breath,
Concentrating it,
Pressing it in to the ball of lava just beneath your belly.
Just all your attention there,
Breathing in,
Holding your breath for a few seconds,
And then releasing it.
Breathing right down into your belly,
Visualizing a ball of light,
A red ball of light,
And holding it there.
Hold it there for five seconds,
Even up to ten seconds,
Whatever you feel comfortable with.
Experiment,
Breathing in right down to the belly,
Holding,
And releasing.
See if you can enjoy holding your breath,
Experiencing the inner silence and space that holding your breath creates.
That suspension of time,
That gap.
As you continue with this breath,
Breathing right down into the belly,
To the ball of light,
And holding,
Pull up from below,
Contracting your perineum muscles,
Pulling up.
As you do that,
Push down from above,
Contracting your muscles,
Intensifying,
Pulling all your energy into a smaller and smaller space just beneath the belly button,
Holding it there,
Pressing it there,
Feeling the energy build up.
As you release that energy,
Feel it rise up,
Rising up through your body and out through the crown of your head.
Every breath now,
Breathing deeply into your belly,
Holding it,
Locking it in there,
Compressing it,
And then releasing as it shoots out through the crown of your head.
You may experience warmth or even bliss.
This is a good sign as we're generating blissful kundalini energy,
Compressing it,
Working with it,
Breathing into the belly,
Holding,
And releasing it through the crown.
As you release your breath,
And the energy rises up through the heart,
The throat,
And the crown,
Feel it opening up your heart,
Opening up your mind,
Burning away any obstacles,
Any stresses or worries.
Every breath now,
Inner fire breath,
Building energy in your belly,
And releasing it through your body and up through your crown.
Imagine this energy that you're generating in your belly is healing energy,
Blissful energy,
Transforming your body and mind.
The longer you can hold it in the belly,
The more it builds up.
Breathing into the belly,
Locking it in,
Pulling up from the perineum,
Pushing down from above,
As we generate blissful healing energy that then rises up on the out-breath,
Releasing it out through the crown.
Every breath now is increasing the fire in your belly,
Creating more heat,
More bliss,
And more energy.
That concludes our meditation on inner fire.
I would now like to invite you to just sit.
For the next few minutes,
No more technique,
Nothing left to do,
Nothing to get right,
And nothing to get wrong.
Relax and let that play out as needed.
