Initially, this meditation encourages to let go through repetition. Letting go is not something that always comes easily, but, in practise, it can be one of the easiest things that we're able to do, to truly do nothing. To allow no-thing to happen. This can help to set a strong foundation for the rest of the meditation and once we discover that we are able to let go of everything - if only for a moment - it can be the start of something quite liberating.

Hello,

Welcome to this meditation.

Firstly,

Let us begin to ground our mind and body together.

We do not need to become frustrated with a busy mind.

The mind will be busy,

But we can let go of the pull towards this busyness.

As you sit here,

Allow yourself to be free.

Abandon all wants,

Needs.

If anything pops into your mind,

Let it go.

Abandon it.

As the next thing pops up,

Let it go.

Continue to let go of everything with a straightforward approach.

Even the desire to be at peace,

The want to have a settled mind,

Let that go.

Any thought,

Let it go.

Things will keep arising,

Yet it's in this space between us thinking and letting go,

That we feel a stillness.

When anything comes into your mind,

Let it go.

It's not for you.

With each small act of letting go,

We strengthen our bond to this stillness.

Let that last thought go.

Let this current thought go.

Encourage nothing.

Let it go.

Let it go.

And now,

Extend some awareness to what is going on in your body and mind right now.

Pay attention to what is happening in this present moment.

Are there any feelings that you can locate in your body that you wouldn't usually notice?

Continue to monitor this moment,

However it is presenting itself to you.

Notice your body rise and fall from this breathing.

Let it go.

And begin to deepen your awareness of the breath.

Focus on the breath entering your lungs and filling your stomach and on the out breath leaving your stomach and noticing your chest deflate.

Allow this noticing of the breath to have your complete attention now.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Try to take your awareness of the breath even deeper.

The breath affects every single part of the body.

Breathe through your whole body now.

As you breathe in,

Feel the breath as if it is flying through your feet,

Legs,

Hands and head like there is a pulsating field of breath entering and leaving your body through the in breath and the out breath.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

In the next few moments,

I will ring a bell and you can choose to end this meditation there with me or if not then please continue.

Thank you.
