I'd like to say a few things about looking at life from a different perspective.

There is the everyday life experience when we live according to the society.

We are educated in a family,

We go to school,

We learn to do things the way everybody else does,

We look for a job,

We think about acquiring wealth,

We have to have our car,

House,

Boat,

And then we would like to have a bigger car or newer car or bigger house or a bigger boat.

And that is called life on the surface,

That's the outer life.

Now there is nothing wrong with it but for those of you who may be kind of suspecting if there is more to life,

If there is a deeper meaning in life,

I thought I would share a few things that may be of use and basically some food for thought.

So if you have ever thought about or tried to go beyond the mass perspective on life experiences,

This would be for you,

This would be a good introduction or a way to start thinking.

There is the outer life that we all are so familiar with and the society prepares us for,

And then there is the inner life and the inner life is a bit different.

The inner life or inner path or inner journey,

It starts with silence,

It starts with stillness,

Mindfulness,

For some people meditation,

For some people yoga,

For some people affirmations or prayer,

But it is the kind of life that we find within ourselves rather than the one that we look at and we just follow.

It is the inner path is conscious,

The self-made,

Whereas the outer path,

The social life is unconscious,

It's just following.

The inner path is one of individuality,

Whereas the outer path is one of conformity.

The inner path is reflective,

You think about,

Okay,

What is my role here,

What is the meaning of this experience,

What is the best way to act in this situation,

Whereas the outer life is reactive,

Something happens and we react accordingly,

Somebody makes us angry,

As if they have control over us,

Whereas when you start reflecting and going down this so-called inner path,

You realize that nobody has any control over you and if you become angry because of something that somebody did or somebody said,

It is because you gave them control,

You decided that they had more control in this situation that you did,

That they had control of your emotions,

That,

You know,

The only thing you could do was to react.

So the outer life is basically the worldly path and the inner life is the reflective,

You could call it spiritual path,

But basically this version of spirituality starts with emotional maturity,

So instead of saying spiritual and causing a definition problem,

Let's say the inner path is the path of working on your thoughts,

Working on your emotions,

Observing your thoughts,

Observing your reactions,

Observing your actions and then responding to the situation at hand accordingly,

Responding from an individual perspective rather than doing what everybody else does,

You do what you think you should do,

So you,

With the inner path,

You constantly look inside,

The source is not out there,

It is not a book that you read,

It is not a person that you emulate,

It is something that you want to do because something within you,

Call it your conscience,

Tells you that it is right,

It's the right course of action.
