We'll use our intention for this practice of "I allow myself to flourish and grow." We're following the lineage of the I AM Yoga Nidra practice through the Amrit Institute. This flow goes through breath awareness, body awareness, visualization as a tree and final bliss through our intention. Use this throughout the week to connect to whatever you are trying to grow and manifest in your day-to-day life.

So go ahead and take both arms up over your head.

And on your inhale,

You're going to stretch your fingers and toes away from each other as far as they can go.

Stretch,

Stretch,

Stretch,

Stretch.

And exhale,

Release.

We have two more rounds.

So on your next inhale in,

Go ahead and take your fingers and toes far away from each other and stretch a little bit more.

And exhale,

Release.

And last one.

Inhale again.

Stretch,

Stretch,

Stretch,

Stretch.

And exhale,

Release.

Go ahead and take your arms by your sides.

If you want to use your eye pillow,

Go ahead and grab your eye pillow.

And take one last deep breath in.

And on the exhale,

Release the tension in your belly with the outgoing breath.

And feel a blanket of heaviness washing over the face,

The arms,

The weight of the spine,

The legs,

And the whole body.

And close your eyes and quiet your mind and be still.

Let go of all thoughts,

Worry,

And tension.

Relax,

Trust,

And let go.

Inhale,

Breathe in fully.

And exhale with a deep sigh.

And one more time,

Big breath in.

And exhale,

Sigh it out.

And let go even more.

Feel a deep sense of peace and contentment in your heart.

And now bring our intention into your awareness again.

Allow yourself to receive the intention as I repeat it.

I allow myself to flourish and grow.

And recognize that your body has been a trusted vehicle,

Creating accomplishments and contributions to the best of its ability.

Now it's time for your body to rest.

Now bring your attention to the face.

With your next exhale,

Allow all expression to drop from the face.

Releasing the tiny muscles around the eyes and allowing the eyeballs to rest back in their sockets.

Releasing the tiny muscles around the mouth.

The tongue resting in the mouth.

Lower jaw gently softening and opening.

Allowing the cheeks to soften towards the floor.

The scalp resting on the skull.

The neck softening and easing.

Simply be available to the entire range of sensations in the face and head.

Now drop into a sense of your whole bodily presence.

Embrace this present moment's experience undistorted by what you like or don't like.

Let go of what's going and let come what's coming.

Feel yourself descending down into the silence beneath the mind.

All excess tension and holding carried out with each exhaling breath.

Just relax.

Relax even more.

As we enter this next phase of yoga nidra,

Remain as motionless as possible.

If you need to move or make an adjustment,

Do so mindfully.

Return to stillness as soon as you're able.

Resolve to remain awake.

Staying in touch with the sound of my voice.

Allow your entire body to respond to my words directly and non-mentally.

Allow any disturbances external or internal to draw you more deeply within.

Let your mind merge and melt into the energy body and go beyond the boundaries of body and mind.

Now shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.

Do absolutely nothing from now on.

Slowly relax.

And now direct your full attention to your breath.

Create no struggle around breathing.

Just use the breath to release any tension.

Slowly deepen your inhales and exhales.

Let your breath flow in a steady uniform unbroken stream.

And continue until asked to stop.

Let your attention be totally connected to your breath as it flows in and out.

With each exhale,

Release all tension held in your body and let go.

Now we'll continue with 10 more slow deep breaths.

Start them like this.

And continue until asked to stop.

Be absorbed in the sound of your own breath.

And now let go of any tension.

Feel the energetic impact of the breath in the form of pulsations in the body.

Your attention allows the energy field in the body to grow and expand.

Just experience it.

Your energy follows attention.

Space where all doing stops.

Experience silence extending everywhere.

Follow my guidance as we move our attention through different parts of the body.

As I guide you from point to point,

Remain in non-doing,

Silent awareness.

Resolve to yourself that you'll stay alert and awake.

Now bring your attention to the brow center,

Pit of the throat,

Right shoulder.

Middle finger.

And gather your attention at the brow center.

Observe the vast stillness and silence.

And resting in this vastness,

Allow whatever comes into your field of awareness.

To be present without comment or judgment.

And witness it as it floats by like clouds in the sky.

And feel yourself open and allowing.

Steady and centered.

And rest back.

Empty like a blue sky.

Pure capacity for experience to move through.

Every cloud that comes,

Eventually goes.

And as the sky,

You can let go.

Let it come.

And let it go.

You know this place.

It is the part of you that can never be diminished or destroyed.

Pure,

Steady and timeless.

Like the sky itself.

Rest here.

Recognize whatever has happened in your life has already gone.

And it's already past.

You are here.

Just be here.

In this moment.

And at this time,

Allow the wisdom of the body to release what it no longer needs.

You don't need to hold onto it anymore.

Give it to the sky to hold for you.

Your life experience has the power to help you become who you were meant to be.

You already have what you need.

Let this knowingness permeate every part of the body.

Sending an ever expanding sense of peace.

Bring your attention to the center between your eyebrows and drop.

Into the deepest level of relaxation.

Here there remains nothing to do or achieve.

You've entered the domain of grace.

Feel completely safe and comfortable.

As you hand yourself over to the power and protection of the presence.

Allow yourself to feel it.

Experience it.

Remain empty and free from all doing.

Here your intention and your affirmations are actualized and fulfilled.

With effortless ease.

Allow yourself to receive the intention as I repeat it.

Feel every cell of your body receiving these words.

Allow this intention to go to the deepest levels of recognition.

With no hesitation.

Know that your higher self recognizes,

Honors and accepts your intention.

Have faith and trust that it's been heard.

And is being acted upon by a higher power of the source within you.

There's no need for you to do anything about it.

Bring your attention back to the center between the eyebrows and the eyebrows.

Allow yourself to feel it.

Feel the life force flowing freely.

Healing the body.

And calming the mind.

Open your heart.

And feel content.

Establish yourself firmly in faith and trust.

To receive the grace,

Protection and guidance of the higher self within you.

The more often you go to your source,

The easier it will be to return there.

No longer you can stay.

Feel the presence of your own spiritual guides.

Surrounding you.

And blessing you.

Accept their blessing and grace.

Embody it and spread it wherever you go.

You are the emissary of light and love.

Carry it everywhere you go.

And to everyone you meet.

If you have an area that you feel needs healing.

Physical,

Mental or emotional.

Allow this light and love to flow into that area.

And to everyone you meet.

Allow this light and love to flow into that area.

Now.

Now begin to become aware of the rising and falling of the breath.

And slowly start to feel yourself beginning to rise to the surface of awareness.

And sense the body resting on the floor.

And gradually you can start to move as if waking from a restful sleep.

And whenever you're ready,

There's no rush here.

If you'd like to start bending your knees,

You can.

And if you're ready,

You can start to move.

And there's no rush here.

If you'd like to start bending your knees.

And maybe bringing them towards your chest.

Or wherever is comfortable.

And taking your time.

Slowly start to turn onto your right side.

And just keep your knees in close to the chest for a few more moments.

And just bringing your intention back into your awareness again.

I allow myself to flourish and grow.

Anytime you find yourself in reaction,

You are empowered to replace it with your intention.

And as you're ready,

Slowly make your way back to the center.

And as you're ready,

Make your way to a comfortable seat.

Letting your eyes stay closed for just a few more moments.

And just bring awareness to your body.

And regardless of what you consciously recognize that has or has not changed,

Know that something deep within you has shifted.

And just for a moment,

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Maybe you notice a difference in the breath from the beginning of class till now.

Maybe a quietness of the mind.

And softness of the heartbeat.

Know that you can enter here again and again.
