In this guided meditation, you'll trace your breath down to your root/pelvic floor - the bottom of your pelvic bowl. Many people carry tension here and if you're one of them, this effective session will help you release it and drop into a relaxed root for the rest of your day.

Welcome to your relaxed root meditation.

Set yourself up with a tall spine,

Feet firm on the floor,

Or lay back with your body supported by the earth,

Legs butterflied open together.

Place your hands gently on your pelvic bowl or snuggle them in to feel your root and take a deep breath in to connect here.

Exhale out of your mouth with a soft jaw,

Loose lips.

Two more times.

Breathe in fully,

Exhale it out,

And let it go.

Breathe in and out of your nose now,

And notice,

As the air travels down into your body,

Can it reach your root?

If there is anywhere along the path of your visualized breath,

From nose to root,

Where it gets stuck or trapped on the way down to your seat,

Imagine it dissolving with each new exhale.

Like a wave gently eroding a stone wall,

Until the water can reach down,

Down,

Down,

And touch your root.

How does your pelvic floor feel today?

Imagine with each inhale,

An expansion happens,

Each exhale a softening,

A light loosening or landing from any grip that you may have.

Feel your root beginning to bloom,

Releasing any tension,

Taking up space.

Feel this pathway of breath broaden and expand all the way down to your root.

This is your seat of power and presence,

Where it serves you to feel open,

Soft,

And receptive to your breath.

Let it feel relaxed,

Yet anchored in each round of breath,

And carry that feeling into the rest of your day.

Namaste.
