Dreamscapes,
Meditations by Brittany Pauler Welcome to your meditation on relaxation.
My name is Brittany Pollard and I will be your guide over the next little while.
Thank you for sharing this moment with me,
And for choosing this moment for yourself.
Whenever we create the time and space to just be with ourselves,
Even if just for a little while,
It can make a huge difference.
Many of us are busy as ever,
Tending to life,
Following demands and schedules,
Working and hustling from the time we wake up to the time we rest our heads at night.
And it can become easy to skip moments like this or push them away,
Focusing on something else,
Begging,
Asking,
Or calling for attention.
So I applaud you for recognizing that your body and your soul needs attention too.
And over the next few minutes we are going to journey together into a state of peace and relaxation,
Allowing our minds to settle,
Allowing our bodies to regroup,
Giving ourselves space before we carry on to the next portion of life.
Start by getting in a comfortable seated position,
Choosing to sit cross legged on the floor,
Or seated upright in a chair,
Whatever is comfortable.
Providing your back support if necessary,
Resting your hands on your lap,
Closing your eyes and just starting to gently roll your shoulders in small circles,
Loosening them up,
Showing them attention.
Letting them know that you acknowledge them.
Next,
I want you to roll your head in circles,
Allowing your right ear to grace past your right shoulder,
The back of your head sweeping past the top of your spine.
Left ear,
Left shoulder,
Chin to the top of your chest,
Following this pattern,
Rolling slowly and gently.
There you go.
Giving this movement a few more times around,
Showing love and attention to your neck,
The part of you that holds an immense amount of stress.
There you go.
Releasing the movement and now sitting still,
Sitting as upright as your body comfortably allows,
Turning your attention to your breath,
Following a simple breathing pattern of inhaling to the count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And exhaling to the count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Nice and steady.
Sending all of that breath into your belly,
Supplying life into all of your organs,
And exhaling any stress that you've held on to.
Following this pattern throughout the entire meditation,
Keeping it steady as you journey deeper and deeper.
Falling deeper into relaxation with every single breath,
Allowing your eyes to get heavier and heavier.
Your jaw releasing the clench.
Letting go of the tension in your tongue.
Dropping your shoulders,
Those beautiful shoulders that you just rolled earlier,
Allowing them to sink.
Slowly.
Slowly.
Allowing your heart rate to slow down.
The beautiful heart that works so hard.
Giving it a moment to just relax.
Sinking deeper into the support system underneath you.
Trusting that you are held by whatever you are sitting on.
Keeping the breath pattern in one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And out one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Giving your body this much needed,
Much deserved break.
Holding on to the words,
It's okay to slow down.
It's okay to slow down.
For the next few minutes,
There is nowhere you need to be.
For the next few minutes,
The world can wait.
This moment is all about you.
If any thoughts arise,
That's okay.
Just let them.
Notice them and let them move on about as if they are strangers walking down the street.
You can engage later.
But for now,
Relax and breathe.
It's okay to slow down.
It's okay to be here.
It's okay to slow down,
Love.
And it's okay to be right here.
Taking one last breath,
I want you to inhale as deep as you can and exhale.
Sending all of that attention into your body and releasing any pent up or built up stress.
It's okay to slow down.
Slowly opening your eyes and allowing yourself to come back into the space.
Thanking yourself for choosing to give yourself this gift.
Smiling at the fact that you chose to prioritize yourself.
As you go on,
Remember the access you have to slowing down.
It's okay to slow down when you need it.
My name is Brittany Pollard and I wish you many blessings.
Take care.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
