Today we're exploring the quality of trust.
We're still on the theme of self-love.
So this is about trusting ourselves,
Trusting in ourselves,
Trusting our inner knowing,
Trusting in our goodness.
Even if we come upon some places inside of ourselves that we don't like so much,
That we wish weren't there,
Can we still trust our inherent goodness and our deeper knowing of who we really are?
So let's explore that a little bit,
Shall we?
Let's close our eyes.
Trusting that we know how to even sit as we're starting the meditation,
Trusting that our body,
If we just kind of let it wiggle itself into our seating arrangement here,
That it knows how to best sit,
What its best posture is that's most conducive to drop in,
To spend some time in meditation.
And trusting our breath,
This amazing tool that knows how to take in,
How to receive what we need with the in-breath,
And it knows how to let go of what we don't need with the out-breath.
There's just this amazing innate intelligence in our body.
It knows how to digest,
It knows how to circulate blood.
So many things are happening in our body that is just unbelievably intelligent.
And we want to trust the goodness of our heart.
So just taking a few deep breaths into that heart space,
Into that space of love,
Of kindness,
Of compassion that is always here,
Even if we're grumpy or bored or upset.
There's a deeper place in the heart that is just holding space,
That is just loving.
And we can trust that.
We can trust the deeper movement of our heart.
It always knows the way,
It just does.
It's connected to the greater heart of God,
Of grace,
Of source.
You can imagine your little heart inside of the great heart of that loving goodness that permeates all of life.
And it breathes within that great heart,
Our little heart.
It beats as one with the one who caused it to exist in the first place.
And just trusting that I am made in the image and likeness of God.
So I can trust my inner goodness and trust my desire to meditate,
To go into silence,
To open to grace.
As I am now going into the space of silence.
So if that's what you're doing right now,
Just pause me and turn me back on when you're ready to come out of your silent meditation.
And before we open eyes,
Sensing that heart space again and that space of trust,
Of inner knowing,
Of what is good and true and beautiful.
And just sensing how deeply we are connected to that,
If we just remember it.
And with that trust,
Just opening your eyes gently and welcoming whatever you see right now,
Whatever is with you,
Receiving it and trusting in your own goodness,
The goodness of everyone you meet.
That's their deepest truth and everything that is created in this beautiful world.
So I'm making a commitment to approach whatever comes after this meditation period with a trusting heart and to trust yourself.
