So today we're going into a new quality of self-love and that would be the quality of self-acceptance.
That's a big one.
Acceptance is a quality of our healthy self,
Of our true self,
That is really about a genuine,
Sincere embrace of whatever is.
Of our own experience.
And that means of everything.
Not just parts of the experience but of everything that we're experiencing.
With a warm embrace,
With a welcome,
With a permission to be.
So let's practice that.
Let's close our eyes.
And finding a comfortable way to sit that is both alert and relaxed.
Allowing our breath to deepen and slow down.
And as we're breathing in,
Just breathing into that space of acceptance of what is here.
Every time we breathe in there's a little bit more space.
You can let that physical sensation of inhalation and spaciousness through the breath.
The breath stretches us.
It makes more space when we breathe in.
We can allow that to remind us of the spaciousness in our heart,
The spaciousness of our being that knows how to accept what is.
And that's learning how to accept ourselves.
This might be foreign to ourselves.
Just to let ourselves be.
There's nowhere to go.
Nothing to achieve.
Nothing to strive for.
But just leaning in to what and who we already are.
So if there is sadness right now for you,
Can you accept that?
Can you embrace that?
If you feel frustrated,
Nervous,
Bored,
Anxious,
Can you bring that space of acceptance to it?
And let it be.
Let yourself be.
Trusting in your inherent goodness and in that loving goodness that you're being held within.
In that grace,
That unconditional grace that is always holding us,
That is always welcoming us just the way we are.
And can we welcome ourselves just the way we are?
It's like a big,
Warm embrace.
Ahh.
Allowing that embrace,
That acceptance.
Now to take you into your silent meditation practice.
If that is what you're doing now,
You can pause me and turn me back on when you're ready to come out of your meditation.
And just before we open our eyes,
Just again sensing that space of the heart.
You may even envision the heart as having two arms.
To the left and to the right and it's just wrapping itself around your own experience.
It's okay.
You're welcome as you are.
And then taking that spaciousness with you as you're opening your eyes.
And you've been with your inner experience,
Just sensing the outer experiences,
Noticing what you're seeing,
What's with you.
And including that in that space of acceptance.
And making a commitment to take that with you.
If the will arises today,
I will lean in,
I will embrace,
I will accept.
And have a beautiful journey with that.
