Join Britta Eskey this week and in the next few weeks for a quick self-love boost in self-compassion. This week we will cultivate an inner image that represents wisdom, strength, warmth and nonjudgmental acceptance. An ideal image of caring and compassion. This is based on the understanding that feelings of warmth, tenderness, and love normally begin through experiencing these feelings externally and creating one’s own inner compassionate image can help provide a source from which we can learn.

Hi,

So today my dog Heidi and I will take you through the last part of the compassionate image series And today's just gonna be about really letting in letting it in So let's close our eyes And as always finding our comfortable posture With the shoulders back and down Finding a good place for your hands to rest Drawing your attention inward Letting go of everything that has come before just letting yourself settle into this moment Even that is a compassionate act for oneself just to settle in Letting the world be the way it is And then recall a compassionate image So this is this can be a religious figure or an image of a wise person or an image from nature That represents a source of wisdom of kindness and compassion for you In the presence of this image you can just be completely yourself There's no judgment,

There's no expectation You are just loved the way you are Just image this now and imagine yourself in the presence of this image As if light is coming from this image and seeping into every cell of your body And even if you're not a visual type and you can't see this image you can only think about it That's also okay That's enough just the thought of this person or this image from nature is enough And as you're sitting in front of this compassionate image really open your body,

Your heart and your mind to receive this compassion Let yourself have this experience Breathe it in There's a part of us that really needs this experience of unconditional compassion so let yourself receive it And then you can even enrich this experience by maybe giving that image if you are a visual person giving it some more color or seeing another part of the image Or just noticing something else in your body,

Noticing what it feels like in your hands,

In your arms,

In your legs just enrich this experience for yourself And imagine yourself just really absorbing this love,

This compassion,

This light fully It's like it's raining and you're just taking the umbrella down and just getting wet with that grace of compassion from your compassionate image And if there's any part of you that doesn't feel like it deserves this,

It's not worthy,

Just link this sensation of receiving compassion to that part And let this part be part of this experience And then take this openness,

This receptivity,

This love with you into your silent meditation if that is what you're practicing now And turn this video off and turn it back on when you're ready to come out of your meditation So just before you open your eyes,

Making a commitment to stay receptive and opening your eyes and receiving the world as you're receiving your surroundings,

Just staying receptive,

Open to the good that's going to come to you all day If we're open to receive it,

You can see it everywhere.

So that's my invitation for you as you're leaving this meditation pillow or your chair is to allow yourself to see the good and receive it.

Let it in.

Thank you
