Hello and welcome to WellBreeing.

I'm your host,

Bree,

And this is a brand new podcast that I'm starting.

And the intention is for us to come together for you to be able to kick back,

Relax,

And for you to feel good.

This is all going to be filled with inspiration.

We're going to have some really fun guests.

Sometimes it'll just be me talking right to you,

But either way,

No matter what it looks like,

It's going to be all about talking about wellbeing topics,

Feeling good.

Because when we come together and we feel good,

We can do anything.

So kick back,

Relax,

Get comfy,

And let's feel good together.

Welcome everyone.

I am so grateful to have you here.

My name is Bree.

I'm the founder of Bree Healthy,

And this is a brand new project,

WellBreeing.

As you can tell,

I'm cute and corny,

Right?

But that's what we're here for.

We're here to just be ourselves,

Have fun,

Just feel good because we deserve it.

And when we prioritize feeling good,

Truly everything will begin to start feeling better in our life.

Everything will just start working out more.

It just seems to work that way.

And so this podcast is just a place for you to come,

Listen,

And be inspired.

And we're just going to talk about all sorts of things that's going to make you take it on,

Go into the world,

Feel great,

And shine your light too.

So how did I get here?

Why are we talking about wellbeing?

Well,

The truth is that my whole life has kind of been a health journey,

A wellness journey.

So about 10 years ago,

As a 20-year-old,

I embarked on a weight loss journey and I lost 150 pounds.

This is a very powerful personal story to me that I've shared with the world very often.

My Fitness Pal is an app that I used,

And they've done some really beautiful features on me.

And it's just been really an amazing experience.

And at this point,

It feels so long ago,

But it's what brought me here.

And so long story short of it,

If you're brand new to my story,

I grew up overweight.

I was always happy.

I was a happy girl,

Even when I saw that there was the number 306 on the scale.

But once I did see that,

I realized I really want to transform my life.

I really want to live a healthy,

Long life.

I'm going to do something about this.

And I also want to say that no matter what size you are,

You are beautiful,

You are perfect.

And as long as you feel good,

That is all that matters.

In my journey,

I decided to research healthy foods that I could eat at my school's dining hall.

And I found actually quite a few.

And I started using the app,

My Fitness Pal,

To track all my food intake.

So after a little under two years of a lot of dedication,

A whole lot of self-love,

Patience,

Perseverance,

And choosing to feel good,

I officially lost 150 pounds.

And I like to say that I released it because it's nothing that I lost.

I actually gained so much.

Back then,

I used to not be able to even keep up walking with my friends.

I hated walking.

I didn't want to move my body at all.

I didn't even like to sit up to grab a bag of chips.

I wasn't fitting into booths.

I got kicked off of theme park rides.

People would,

Of course,

Not be the kindest to me,

But that wasn't really my concern at all.

It was more about how I wanted to feel.

And so once I really focused on,

OK,

I want to do this for me,

It just all happened so easily and effortlessly.

It was easy for me to stick to it because I wanted to feel good.

And so once I hit that goal weight,

I just realized my dream is that I want to inspire the world.

But another thing that I learned after that,

I was actually with now my ex-husband,

Who we're still great friends,

Very grateful for that.

But when I was with him,

At the beginning,

All the fun,

Super fun dating stuff,

We go out,

We eat snacks,

We have all sorts of foods that I wasn't eating before,

I actually put on 20 pounds.

And when that happened,

That was not fun for me.

I felt like a failure.

I felt like I didn't know who I was anymore.

And I just was being really hard on myself.

And when I start,

When I,

And when I tried to lose weight again,

It just wasn't happening.

And I just had to sit with myself.

Why I'm doing the same exact things.

Why isn't it working this time?

And I reflected on my journey.

And what I realized was,

Oh,

Wait a second.

I was being kind to myself back then.

I was loving on myself back then.

I wasn't being so harsh and judgmental to myself.

And so once I started to realize that,

I realized how important self-love is.

Genuinely,

Self-love to me is everything.

Because when you are with yourself,

When you are on your own team,

When you aren't against yourself,

When you're your own best friend,

You can accomplish anything because you are there for you.

So instead of needing to have someone else be that for you,

You get to practice being it for you.

You get to be there for yourself.

And I will say it definitely continues to expand upon itself over time.

It's definitely something that I continue to learn more and more deeply how to really show up for myself and love myself better.

So what I want you to know is that exactly where you are is exactly where you need to be.

You are perfect.

You are here.

And we are,

Even just showing up for yourself here is giving yourself such a beautiful gift and showing yourself that you love yourself and care about yourself enough to feel good.

So after that,

You know,

I lost that weight back,

You know,

I kind of float around.

I feel like I stay at a certain amount now,

But it's not even a concern.

I don't even think about weight at this point.

For me now,

It's really just about feeling good.

I trust my body to stay in this general area.

It's not about how I look.

It's about how I feel.

So I had started my platform,

Bree Healthy,

Back in 2014.

It was after my weight loss journey.

I had this dream that I want to have my own talk show.

So here we are.

And back then,

I just started getting in front of a camera.

I started making wellness content about healthy foods and how we can feel better and,

You know,

Different fitness tips and stuff like that.

But then once I had that self-love experience,

Then it really became a lot about self-love.

And that has become my main message.

And now where I'm at in my own journey,

Just experiencing life,

Having gone through a divorce,

Which beautifully,

Thankfully,

It wasn't bad.

And we're still great friends.

But all this stuff now,

Living on my own and really just learning so much about myself,

Mindfulness has become the most important thing for me.

Because when you are by yourself,

I've noticed that sometimes you can allow your thoughts to drift off in a place where you don't really want them to go.

And then you might sometimes feel confused.

How do I get myself out of here?

And so these are all things that I'm honestly currently experiencing.

And so I'm just going to share stuff that I'm living through,

That I am growing through.

I'm going to share my learnings with you because that's really what I believe I'm here for.

I believe I'm going to go through these things so that I can then shine my light to you and help you in your own experience.

So that's really what we're going to talk about in Wellbreeing.

It's going to be really fun.

The different topics we're going to have,

Of course,

It's going to be mindfulness,

Self-love,

Mental health,

Nutrition.

And especially when we talk about nutrition,

It's going to be less about what we should be eating and more about what do I feel good eating?

What foods make me feel really good?

And so that will then allow us to feel our best in our life.

It'll help with our mental well-being.

It'll help with self-love.

It'll help with everything that we're going to be talking about.

And so another topic that we're going to definitely,

Definitely talk about,

I'm so passionate about,

Is manifesting your dreams.

That's what I'm doing right here.

That's why we're here.

This is really just me following my inner guidance.

The universe opened this opportunity up for me to start this podcast.

So we're here together and I just want you to know that I believe in you and you are the reason why I am able to do this here.

So I just want to give you a huge thank you,

A huge hug through the podcast.

I just want to give you so much love and just really appreciate you for your presence.

Because also,

Just so you know,

You are enough exactly as you are,

Exactly as you are.

And I am just so honored to have you here.

We're going to have a lot of fun.

I'm going to bring some really cool guests on the show.

Sometimes it'll be my friends and we'll just be talking about different wellness,

Mindfulness topics,

Or sometimes I'll bring in a guest that I've never met before and we'll get to know them.

But sometimes it'll just be me and I'll just be talking about something,

Answering a question that you wanted me to answer,

Or I'll be just sharing something from my own personal experiences.

I think I might do some meditations for you guys too.

And we're just going to really have fun.

I want this to be a space where you come tune in and you feel positive energy.

That is the greatest gift that I believe I could give you.

And I want to inspire you and I want you to smile after.

I just want you to be in a better space because sometimes life can be challenging.

Let's not pretend,

Right?

But when we have tools to bring ourself back to a good feeling space,

That's when we take the power into our own hands.

We know how to control ourself instead of our self controlling us.

So that's what we're here to do.

We're going to have a great time.
