This meditation is based on the following idea: "As within, so without." Our external world reflects our inner world. The best way to change our outer world is to alter our inner life. This meditation guides listeners to find harmony with the space inside and outside the body. Awareness of breath is used to create space and bring together the inner and outer worlds. Oneness and equanimity are the result of conscious breathing, as well as utilizing the powers of stillness and persistence.

Transcript

Let's take the first few moments of this meditation to settle in.

Find a comfortable posture,

Either sitting,

Lying down,

Or whatever works for you.

Begin to relax the physical body and close the eyes.

Begin to notice the space around the physical body.

Begin to notice the space within the physical body.

To bring a deeper awareness to the space,

Both outside the body and inside the body,

Let's bring our attention to the breath.

Let's take an inhale together,

And exhale,

Let it go.

Again,

Inhale,

Take in the air around you,

And exhale,

Send the air back into the space around you.

This time,

Inhale,

Take in the air around you,

Create space inside of you,

And exhale,

Send the air into the space around you,

And allow the body to soften.

Relax all the muscles around the eyes.

Take the next few moments,

Find your style,

Your way of being in this meditation.

A few options are to focus on the breath,

Focus on the space outside the physical body,

Focus on the space inside the physical body,

Or anything else you prefer.

You'll be on your own for a few moments.

Enjoy the silence,

And enjoy your style of meditation,

Your way of being.

Thank you.

Begin to bring your awareness back to the physical body.

Bring your awareness back to the space around you.

Bring your awareness back to the space within you.

And as we did before,

Take a deep inhale,

Fill the body with breath,

And exhale,

Let it go.

Again,

Take an inhale,

Breathe in the air around you,

And exhale,

Send the air back into the space around you.

Last time,

Deep inhale,

Take in the air around you,

Fill the body with that air,

And exhale,

Relax the physical body.

Gently blink the eyes open.

Have a beautiful day.

Thank you. Your voice is so mellow and so smooth. Everything you say is so crystal clear. Itโ€™s like listening to a crystal blue lake. Thinking about breathing and making space on the inside, was very relaxing to me. ๐ŸŒธ

Made me sad-- but then I realized maybe I am supposed to be feeling the sadness-- then letting it go after acknowledgement. The meditation itself was actually very soothing. Great words and voice ; The music was just a bit "minor" for me, sort of sad-sounding... May just have been my personal experience though. Thank you!
