When was the last time you had the chance to simply relax?

What was it like the last time you could find yourself leaving any stress and strain in the past,

Long enough to experience some well-needed tranquility?

It's not important to realize that all you have to do is listen to the sound of my words,

And in the process,

It's okay for you to forget about paying any conscious attention to any of these things at all.

Relaxation can happen,

And the part of your mind that might have had concerns before,

Is now allowed to check out for a while,

Because it's the deeper part of your mind that's experiencing this anyway.

The protective part of your mind.

All you need to do is take a deep breath and let it go with a sigh.

Do what you can to follow these simple,

Clear instructions,

And close your eyes only when I say so.

And with another deep breath,

Close your eyes and go all the way down.

Any outside sounds or noises can only help you go deeper and deeper and even deeper into this wonderfully relaxing break from the outside world.

You see,

It's just like when you hear soft music playing in another room.

You might enjoy hearing this and how it makes you feel,

And the tranquil mood it puts you in,

Without even following the lyrics at all.

Now if you could think of a time when you were genuinely relaxed,

And imagine music playing in the background that sounds real nice,

That lets you unwind,

Then you might find that it's more than natural to let go and enjoy the sound of my voice in the same way that you can enjoy that music.

You might not.

Either way,

It doesn't matter.

The deeper part of your mind is always listening anyway,

And all you need to do is relax,

Because focus and fascination on the sound of my voice is possible,

As is enjoyment of the warm feelings from the deep resonance flowing across my words,

And the dreamy drowsiness you get from the sound of music playing in the background.

Now I'm not sure how you give yourself permission to let go.

It's different for everyone,

And there's no right way or wrong way.

And while you discover the best way to let this happen,

And so that you can relax comfortably and safely,

I'm going to count down from 5 to 1,

And with each number you can become more and more physically and mentally relaxed.

And when I reach the number 1,

You can become so incredibly relaxed that the outer,

Chatty mind goes on vacation and the deeper part of your mind,

This protective part of your mind,

Comes forward.

And during the time that I count down from 5 to 1,

When you inhale,

Say the word deeply to yourself,

And when you exhale,

Say the word relaxed to yourself.

Deeply relaxed.

Continue saying this as you breathe deep into your belly,

Until I reach the number 1.

So inhaling,

Saying deeply,

Exhaling,

Saying relaxed.

That's it.

Deeply relaxed.

Continuing on down as 5,

You can be conscious of certain unconscious things,

And unconscious about certain conscious things.

And there are things that you might be conscious of now,

That you can forget to remember later,

And then remember to forget at some other time.

These forgettings can be memorable now,

But if asked later,

You might then remember that you forgot before.

In other words,

Consciously you might not remember.

But your unconscious mind is likely to remember,

Now,

What your conscious mind forgot before.

If it's hard to follow along,

That's fine,

Because you always go into trance,

The way that's best and the way that's just right for you anyway.

That's right.

As you breathe deeply and regularly,

You can place all your awareness on those tiny little muscles of your eyelids.

These muscles work hard all day long,

And you can finally give them a well needed break by letting them go loose and relaxed,

So loose and so relaxed,

Almost like wet dish rags,

So incredibly loose and so amazingly relaxed,

That even if you try to open them,

You can't do it without putting that old unwanted tension back in.

So when you're convinced,

When you're completely and absolutely convinced that they are just way too relaxed to even try to test them,

Just go ahead and give them a quick try.

That's it,

Now stop testing and let this warmth and tranquility flow all throughout your body,

Because with each breath you take,

You can become more and more physically relaxed,

Remaining perfectly upright,

Sitting in that seat,

Nice and safe,

Letting all the muscles in your body go loose and limp and completely and wonderfully relaxed,

Drifting deeper and deeper into this healing trance.

And if you were to hear some outside sounds or noises,

It's just the outside world taking care of itself while you get to take a break,

And this realization can help you go even deeper down now.

This way you can continue listening to this soothing music and continue enjoying this incredibly warm feeling of relaxation from listening to the sound of my voice,

Everything working smoothly to bring you deeper into trance.

And with each and every word,

The more you hear my voice,

The deeper you can go and the better you can feel,

And the deeper you can go and the better you can feel,

The more you can just focus on the sound of my voice.

A deep sense of fascination is possible,

And you can let your imagination become fully engaged.

Now we all can imagine how deeply a person can go into trance,

Drifting beneath even this level of relaxation,

To the point where we can imagine a more dramatically powerful dream-like state,

One so deep you've yet to go there before.

So as you continually drift deeper down into this blissful velvety darkness with each cleansing breath and with each soothing word,

Just wonder how incredibly good it feels to go even deeper.

Vividly imagine going as deep as you can go today and then go even deeper.

You can even pretend to go into the kind of trance that you'd only dream about in your wildest imagination and experience how deep pretending brings you,

Your physical body completely unwinding,

Hitting the pause button on that chatty outer mind just for a moment,

The colors and shapes and sounds fading away and reappearing and then fading away again.

This is your experience,

So relax and enjoy this in a way that's the best for you.

As 5,

4,

3,

2,

And 1,

Drifting into this warm,

Safe,

Velvety darkness.

That's it.

You might briefly awaken from time to time,

But my voice and this music really do bring you back to this place where you feel relaxed and safe and comfortable because each time that you make the decision to go to this level of hypnosis and follow the rhythmic sound of my voice,

You can feel so much better as your body and mind continually drift into this blissful,

Warm trance,

This amazingly deeper level of tranquility each and every time you hear my voice.

You now have the ability to continue discovering how deep you can go each time,

How much more wonderfully relaxing you can feel each time,

And how much easier it is to allow positive change to happen each time you make the decision to go to this level of relaxation,

Following my voice deeper and deeper and deeper down.

What's it like when you hear my voice and this music all blended together?

As you drift and dream and follow along,

I don't know what makes you more relaxed.

Maybe it's hearing the sound of my words or maybe you go deeper listening to the spaces between my words.

Either way,

It's this rhythm that you feel and the music blended in with the beating of your heart and the deepening of your breath that can allow you to safely go deep into this wonderfully healing,

Powerful trance more and more each time.

And it's here where you get to make all the wonderfully healthy choices that you want to make and where you get to instantly make all the incredibly positive changes that you want to make,

Becoming a reality upon awakening.

All your most powerful resources are right here at your fingertips where you can easily gain access to your very own personal wellspring of possibilities,

But only in ways that are healthy and positive,

Benefiting you now,

Tomorrow and every day for the rest of your life.

And from this wonderful place of calm,

You can build in a powerful,

Healthy resource state.

An oasis where you make instant permanent changes.

Maybe you can think of a time when you experienced what you were truly capable of or at least get an idea of this.

Maybe you can remember the first few seconds when you first realized that you were riding a bike all by yourself.

The training wheels were off and you discovered that no one was holding on.

You were doing this all by yourself and you found yourself gliding,

Gliding onto more and more success.

Or maybe you can imagine the first time you were walking a short distance all by yourself.

If you can remember back that far,

It's the times when your true potential blossomed.

What does this feel like to you?

What does this look like to you?

When you hear what sounds the best about this,

Then you can realize how your inner mind creates and symbolizes this wonderfully powerful,

Healthy resource state,

A safe,

Tranquil place where you can access your powerful resources and your true potential can awaken.

Now unleashing this can be as easy as counting down from five to one because it's more than possible for you to begin to realize that this is the place where all the changes that you want to make are made with the snap of your fingers.

So easy to the point where what you want and what will be are one and the same,

Completely merged and when you're totally familiar with this and you know how easy it is to get right back here and know it's just a matter of counting down from five to one,

You're going to open only your eyes.

So go ahead now and open only your eyes and focus on a spot on the wall.

That's it.

Focus on that spot.

Notice the room and the shapes and the colors and just focus on that spot for now and when I snap my fingers,

You get to close your eyes again,

Suddenly going all the way down and five,

Four,

Three,

Can't wait to totally unwind again,

Two and one.

That's it.

Allowing this sense of timeless wonder to bloom.

Endless possibilities and resources abound.

Finding this place more and more with each word you hear and with each breath you take because when you make the effort,

This enthusiastic effort to go into trance,

You can discover that any resistance to positive change that was there from the past is simply gone.

You can now make dramatic changes so easily now.

You get to change in the most positive ways possible and at the speed of thought.

Just as fast as you can imagine,

You can change and any silly notions that change isn't instantaneous are swept into the past,

Gone and forgotten.

Now go ahead and open your eyes once more and focus on that spot on the wall and when I snap my fingers again,

You get to close your eyes.

So that's it and five,

Four,

Three,

Two and one.

All the way down now and even more and from this wonderful oasis of positive resources and safety and relaxation,

I want you to continue to go deeper and deeper and deeper at whatever rate feels the best for you.

Because deep inside your mind,

There are resources waiting to come to your call.

Positive healthy resources that instantly spring forward,

Sweeping away all stress,

Sweeping away all strain,

Sweeping away all the confusion from the past,

Replacing all that stuff with crystal clear healing energy with each and every breath that you take,

Leaving the rest of that stuff behind.

With each inhale,

You feel energy filling your body and mind and with each exhale,

You feel it flooding throughout your body.

With each breath,

You're building this powerful resource state,

Constantly making all the best choices now and throughout the rest of your life because every day in every way you're continually getting better and better and even better.

Each and every time you make the decision to go into trance,

It feels better.

Each time you count down from five to one,

You can continually find this powerful resource state faster and faster.

Each time you hear my voice,

It relaxes you,

It guides you and it helps you make the choices that you truly want to make.

Each and every time and when you know that this is true for you now and for the rest of your life,

You come back to the room when I count from one to five.

So one,

Enjoying the last few moments of trance.

Two,

Slowly feeling the surface beneath you.

Three,

Four and five,

Go on and open your eyes and begin to focus.

Now ask yourself,

How good do I feel right now?

It's different for everyone,

But one of the greatest byproducts of trance is that you get to feel incredibly good afterwards.

Now the more you listen to this and the more you hear my voice and the more you decide to go into trance,

The easier it gets and the deeper you go.

In fact,

It's amazing how you can go right back to your deepest level that you've been so far and even deeper just by closing your eyes and counting down from five to one.

You can test this now.

Go ahead and close your eyes and five,

Four,

Three,

Two and one.

That's it.

So deep now.

So relaxed.

All the way down now.

That's it.

Enjoy this while you can.

And when you're ready,

Go ahead and open your eyes.

Go ahead and open your eyes,

Coming fully back to the room and realize that trance and relaxation is just this simple and congratulations because you've now trained your mind to bring you to a deep enough level of trance to make massive positive changes in your life.
