Hello everyone,
I hope you're feeling well today.
Softly closing the eyes and bringing the awareness to the breath.
As you inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Placing one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly,
Tune in to how the body responds to the breath.
How the chest rises and falls,
How the belly expands.
Changing the breath now to the inhalation and exhalation through the nose alone.
And I remind you that breathing alone can take us out of flight mode and bring us back to the present moment.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale for 1,
2,
3,
4.
Hold 1,

Take the longest breath in,
The longest one you have taken so far today.
And slowly exhale through the nose.
Remembering that thoughts are a part of meditation,
We acknowledge these thoughts and we allow them to simply drift away without getting frustrated.
Today we are going to think about and have gratitude for our senses.
These things that we don't often think about but yet we are so lucky to have.
To touch,
Taste,
Smell,
Hear and think and see.
With your hand now on your chest and your belly,
Pressing ever so slightly into the fingertips.
Feeling your body,
Feeling the soft clothes you wear.
Thinking about how it feels to have your feet connected to the earth.
To dip your toe into the fresh,
Cool sea.
To feel warm sands beneath your toes on holiday on a soft,
Sandy beach.
To feel the cool breeze hitting your face on a fresh morning.
To see cars racing down the road.
To see your devices and to check messages from loved ones.
To touch and feel and connect with other people.
People you love,
People you care about.
To feel them in your arms as you embrace.
To taste that first sip of coffee or tea in the morning,
Biting into warm,
Buttery toast,
Savouring the last mouthful of your favourite meal.
To think,
To have the ability to think wonderful and crazy thoughts.
But to also think negative thoughts,
To think positive thoughts,
All of which allow us to be human.
Bringing awareness to the breath if the mind is wandered.
And taking time now to reflect,
To feel grateful for our senses.
To be grateful for everything that is at the touch of our fingertips.
For everything that is there the moment we open our eyes.
Gratitude for our environment,
What we see around us.
