This is a meditation on divorce and I recommend that you listen to my first meditation on divorce that says step one.
This is step two.
So I invite you to find a comfortable place,
Whether it's lying down or sitting up.
If it's sitting up,
Be aware of your posture and that your spine is erect so that the life force energy can flow freely up and down your spine.
And as you settle in,
I just invite you to find your breath.
Inhaling and exhaling in your natural flow.
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your nose or mouth.
Just really getting in touch with and grounding in to where you are right now in your body.
And letting your breath be the anchor for that.
Now I want to invite you to deepen your inhale and lengthen your exhale.
Taking a really long deep breath in through your nose,
Really filling up your lungs,
Filling up your belly,
And letting it all go through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
A good inhale through your nose,
A little deeper this time,
Filling up your full lung capacity,
Letting your belly protrude,
And letting it all go through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhaling through your nose,
Deepest,
Biggest one yet,
Filling up your lungs,
And letting it all go.
And continuing to do that on your own with your own rhythm,
Being mindful of filling up your lungs to the fullest capacity,
So much so that your diaphragm pushes down on your belly to where it protrudes.
I call this belly breathing.
When you exhale,
Really extend the exhale,
Making sure you're expelling all of the CO2,
All of the toxins out of your body.
So just doing this in your own time,
It allows you to drop into the parasympathetic nervous system.
This is your rest and digest nervous system.
This is your safe and grounded nervous system,
The opposite of your sympathetic nervous system.
That is your fight or flight nervous system.
Your goal when you're relaxing is to get away from the fight or flight mentality and way of feeling and being,
And really dropping into this parasympathetic nervous system that lets everything in your body know that everything is okay and that you are safe.
Just inhaling as you go in your own time and rhythm,
And exhaling.
It is so important to feel safe and grounded as you're going through this difficult time in your life,
As you're going through divorce.
Really focusing on your breath,
Feeling grounded into the moment,
Grounded into your inner being,
Which is right behind your ribs and your heart.
And I invite you to place your hand on your chest where your heart resides,
Maybe rubbing it softly,
Bringing your attention to the area through focusing on it,
But also by touching and rubbing.
And on every inhale,
I invite you to imagine there's a warm golden light there behind your ribs,
In your heart center.
And when you inhale,
That light gets brighter and expands all throughout your body,
Even past your body into your aura,
Into the room that you're in,
Lighting up the entire room.
And when you exhale,
It slowly pulls itself back into your heart center.
And so imagining on every inhale,
That light gets brighter,
Warmer,
And expands through your body and outside of your body.
And on the exhale,
It comes back in,
Draws back in to your body,
To your heart center.
And in doing this,
You're extending the feeling and the energy of love.
It originates in your heart,
In your heart chakra area,
And you have the power to bring it throughout your entire body,
But also past your body into the environment that you're in right now.
The energy of love is the highest frequency that you can vibrate at.
It's a miraculous frequency.
It's a frequency of transformation and healing.
And when you can source that within,
You're able to change your experience in life.
You're able to affect the environment around you,
Which is so important as you're going through divorce,
Because everything outside of you may seem very chaotic right now.
And everything within you may feel very chaotic,
But you have the power to change that through your breath and through your intention.
So just breathing in,
Really lighting up that golden light of love inside of you,
Feeling the love that you have for yourself,
Feeling the compassion that you have for yourself,
And letting it extend beyond your body into the environment that you're in,
And maybe even past your environment,
Past the walls of the room that you're in,
Past the building or the home that you're in,
Into your community,
Into your city,
Into the people's lives that you love,
That you're surrounded by in life.
The vibration and frequency of love is so strong that you're able to change the environment and beyond around you.
So really anchoring into your breath.
If your mind wanders,
It's okay.
It's going to wander.
It's natural for it to wander.
And just speak softly with yourself,
Without judgment if it wanders,
And say,
Just come back to your breath.
Maybe give yourself a name,
A term of endearment that softens the way that you speak to yourself.
Having a tone of compassion and love towards yourself during this time of hardships.
It is so important to source within yourself what you seek outside of you.
So if you seek love and comfort from someone else,
If you're seeking attention and validation from someone else,
It is so important to first source that within,
To find that for yourself first within yourself.
So during this hard time,
It is so important for you to have compassion for what you're going through,
For you to have patience and love with yourself as you go through these days that may seem like you can't make it through.
You may feel like you can't make it one more day in the situation that you're in because you don't know where to turn.
You may be confused by circumstances,
Confused by what's going on or what's said to you.
And I invite you,
If that's the case,
To pull in,
Breathe,
Notice the warm golden light throughout your body and how it expands into your body and let that be your source of love and acceptance,
A source of validation,
A source of comfort,
A warm hug for yourself.
And when you can start to have compassion and love for yourself during this time and freeing your mind of all the chaos and confusion because you're only focusing on your heart and love,
You're able to make rational,
Clear decisions,
Which I have no doubt you're making during this time.
You're making very big decisions for your life,
For yourself,
Perhaps for your kids,
Perhaps for your finances,
For your business,
Where you're going to live.
Big decisions are being made right now.
And it's important that you have a calm nervous system and that you're operating from your heart when you make these decisions.
And that may seem counterintuitive to what we have known to be.
We're always told,
Make decisions from a clear,
From your mind,
Right?
Well,
When we make decisions from our heart,
From a place of love and compassion for ourselves,
It is for our highest and best good.
But we're not able to access that place of wisdom and intuition if we are stuck in our minds and the chaos and deceit that our mind can give us at times.
So really dropping from your mind and the loop,
The narrative loop that goes around and around,
Dropping from that chaos into your heart where love and compassion and your intuition resides.
This is such a good place to be when you don't know where to turn.
So again,
Just breathing,
Letting your breath be your anchor right now.
You are experiencing what it feels like to be in a calm,
Regulated nervous system.
When our nervous system is not regulated,
We tend to respond to things very quickly and irrationally,
Sometimes like the little child within.
Oftentimes we look back and go,
Gosh,
Why did I say that?
I didn't mean to say it like that.
It's because you were not regulated,
My love.
And it's okay,
We're not perfect.
But now I'm teaching you the tools to regulate yourself so that you can make rational decisions during this time.
So just really breathing in again,
Breathing in and letting that warm light penetrate your body,
Envelop your body,
Really soaking and marinating in that warm light of love and compassion for yourself.
And exhaling in.
And when you exhale,
You're pulling it all back in.
Even your belly is going in because you're expelling all the air out of you.
And then inhaling,
Filling up your body again with that love and compassion.
And just continue in this rhythm for as long as you need to,
My love,
Until you feel complete.
This is your safe sanctuary to come back home to when you need to feel calm,
When you need to feel loved,
When you need to feel accepted.
Remember,
You can source all of that within yourself.
Just breathing,
Soaking in what it feels like to be in a relaxed state of being,
Full of love.
You're doing such a beautiful job during this hard time.
Have compassion for what you're going through.
Give yourself grace for what you're going through.
And most of all,
Give yourself love for what you're going through.
Beautiful job.
Continue on for as long as you need.
And when you feel complete,
You can open your eyes.
