Hello there,

It's Moira here.

Here with a guided meditation to help you create balance.

And so I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit.

To sit where your body is completely supported.

You may even wish to lie down for this meditation.

Just allowing yourself to get settled.

Gently closing your eyes.

Allowing any thoughts to gently come in and out of your mind.

Using your breath to allow these thoughts to just flow away.

Creating balance.

And if thoughts do come up,

Gently bringing your awareness back to your breathing.

And once your mind has settled down a bit,

Just ask yourself.

How can I be more balanced?

And you can keep asking this.

And take note on each time you ask this question what thoughts come to your mind first.

How can I be more balanced?

Just allow whatever wisdom to come up.

Just observing these thoughts with no judgement or labelling.

And just allow them to drift away.

Relax your mind and your body.

By noticing and being aware of your breath coming in and flowing out.

And then when you feel like you've got some good guidance,

You feel satisfied with the information that you've received.

On how your life could be more balanced.

Just quiet your mind again.

Flowing with your breath again.

And just bring your attention to the need for more balance.

You're going to bring the energy of balance into your core.

And this will help your subconscious mind to awaken a notice when you're acting in an unbalanced way.

Imagine yourself balancing on a tree branch high up in the air.

See yourself balancing there with your arms stretched out.

Feel a slight breeze.

Hear the leaves of the tree flutter and dance all around you.

Smell the fresh air.

Feel your feet firmly grounded to the tree branch.

And once you feel this grounding,

Just imagine that you're lifting one of your legs up into the air behind you.

So you're balancing on one leg and your arms are still stretched out on the side of your body as if you're flying.

Feel how centered,

Grounded and strong that leg is.

Feel how balanced you are.

You can still feel the breeze gently blowing all around you.

And you feel completely connected to this tree branch.

It's kind of like you're a part of this tree.

And your balance is completely keeping you still.

Once you've allowed yourself to feel the power of this,

The balance of this,

Bring your leg back down to the tree branch.

Allow your arms to come back down to your sides.

Imagine bringing your hands to your heart center.

Feeling the energy of balance running through your whole body from your firmly grounded feet on the tree branch all the way up through your body right to the top of your head.

Now imagine gently and slowly,

Comfortably climbing down from the tree.

And once you're on the ground,

You can give gratitude for the universal oneness or gratitude for your higher self for this experience.

And then gently bringing your awareness back to your mind and your body.

Focusing on your breath again.

Feeling your breathing coming in and out.

Taking a nice deep breath.

Feeling yourself fully in your body again.

When you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes coming all the way back.

Feeling grounded and in balance.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

This was perfect. I was journaling about Zen and then came across this mediation. Itโ€™s the perfect amount of time and I like how thereโ€™s a pause when weโ€™re asked to think about something!! Thank you!โ€™
