Where we put our intention and attention our energy will flow. In this practice, we will focus on each chakra, its energy, colour, and bija sound mantra to enhance the balancing. When they are balanced they have a positive effect on each of the other ones, creating harmony. Think of a free-flowing river as opposed to being blocked by debris which will affect its flow. Focusing from the root to the crown and then drawing our pure white light down through each chakra balancing and harmonising as it passes.

Today's practice we're going to work with the seven primary chakras.

There are indeed many more,

Including the earth soul chakra and the soul star chakra below and above the body.

A chakra is a center of activity that receives processes and expresses life force energy or prana.

The Sanskrit word chakra translates to wheel or disc and refers to a spinning sphere of bioenergy.

We will also use the bija mantra on each chakra.

Enjoy your practice.

So let's take a moment to get comfortable.

Sitting upright,

Allowing width in the sit bones for a nice stable base.

Let's just focus on our breath.

Feel the air come in through the nose and feel the air leave through the nose or through the mouth.

Just being aware of the in breath and the out breath.

Feel the ribcage,

Not just at the front,

Draw your attention to the back of the ribs,

The side of the ribs,

And the front of ribs.

As you breathe in,

As you exhale,

Feel it all soften back down.

Feel the weight of your pelvis onto the earth beneath you.

Your seat,

Your cushion,

Just feel that connection.

So feeling weighted through the pelvis,

Have a sense of lifting through the upper body.

As if being pulled by a string from the crown of your head,

Just gently lifting you up.

And feeling the space between the ribs and the pelvis and the head and the ribs.

And keep this sense of buoyancy throughout.

We're going to draw our attention down to your root chakra,

Which is situated at the base of the spine.

The muladhara.

Start to visualize a red sphere of spinning energy.

To start to see it and notice what is its size,

What is its vibrancy,

What is its tone.

The root chakra helps us to feel connected,

Helps to ground us.

It's related to survival and family and the bones and blood of the self.

Start to feel that red sphere grow.

Do you need more energy in this area?

Start to shine from this red glowing ball.

Feel it expansive and vibrate.

We're going to make the sounds of the bija mantras,

Which are the vibrational sound of the chakra.

So either out loud or in your head with me.

Laaam.

Repeat twice more.

Just notice how you feel.

We're going to move up to the sacral chakra,

Which is just below the navel in front of the sacrum.

Svadisthana.

The sacral energy is about creation and new beginnings.

It's our emotional identity.

It's our sexuality.

And it's related to water.

So when in balance,

It allows us to be resilient and helps us to accept change.

So thinking of an orange sphere.

Feel the energy.

And notice its tone and its vibrancy.

Tweaking the hue.

To create more energy or tone down whatever feels right for you.

The sound here is vam.

One time together.

Vam.

And repeat twice more.

Feel the energy.

See the orange glow.

Moving your hands up now to the solar plexus.

Below the ribs and above the navel.

And here the element is fire.

And we're going to visualize a bright yellow sphere of energy and light.

The solar plexus is about self-identification and about self-non-dominating power.

About transformation and being able to shift to the best version of ourselves.

Just notice your energy here.

And adjust its hue,

Its tone and vibrancy.

And the mantra here is ram.

Ram.

Repeat twice more.

The mani pura.

The solar plexus.

Notice how you feel.

Moving your attention up to your heart,

The anahata.

The element of air.

Start to visualize a green ball of light and energy.

And notice its shade and vibrancy.

And adjust.

Like turning up the dials or down the dials.

And see that energy grow and expand.

For here is love and compassion.

It's our social identity.

It's where when we feel centered we can have empathy and compassion and find peace.

It's about self-acceptance.

And the sound here is yam.

YAM.

Repeat twice more.

Feeling and seeing that energy.

Notice how you feel.

Taking your attention to your throat.

Throat is the color blue.

Dvishuddha.

Start to see a blue spherical ball of energy and light.

Notice its shade and vibrancy.

And adjust to what you need.

For here is the voice.

The physical and the emotional voice.

It's vibration and sound.

And self-expression.

The sound here is hum.

Repeat twice more.

Feeling that vibration in your throat.

Seeing the beautiful blue energy.

Notice how you feel.

Draw your attention to your third eye between the brows.

Visualizing an indigo sphere of light.

See that ball of energy.

Notice its tone and vibrancy.

And adjust accordingly.

Your third eye is about intuition.

Seeing clearly in reflection.

And our conscious choices and decisions.

Ajna.

And the mantra here is om.

Repeat twice more.

Seeing that ball of energy glow.

And notice how you feel.

Moving up to your crown with your thousand petal lotus.

For here is our connection to the universe and spirit.

Its pure awareness and consciousness.

And our true bliss.

Here we will spend a moment in silence.

Seeing a white or violet light.

Start to see the white light in abundance above you.

And start to draw that down to your third eye.

Clearing and cleansing each chakra on its way down.

Drawing down to your throat chakra.

Clearing and cleansing and balancing.

Drawing the energy down to your heart.

Clearing,

Cleansing and balancing.

Drawing the energy down to your solar plexus.

Clearing,

Cleansing and balancing.

Draw the energy down to your sacral chakra.

Clearing,

Cleansing and balancing.

And drawing the energy down to your root chakra.

Clearing,

Cleansing and balancing.

Feel that white light down into the earth.

Feeling the connection with all of your chakras.

Balancing and connecting.

Each one having a positive influence on the other.

Creating balance.

Creating harmony.

Just being aware of all your chakras balanced,

Glowing and harmonizing.

Feeling the purity of the white light.

And bathe in this experience.

Just moving and rock forwards and backwards very gently.

Rocking from your pelvis as if you're moving the energy up.

Up from your root.

Up to your sacrum,

To your solar plexus,

To your heart,

To your throat.

To your third eye,

To your crown.

Moving the energy up and down your spine.

And take a moment to gently open your eyes.

Notice the surroundings.

Notice how you feel.

Take a breath in and reach your arms from the ground up towards the sky.

Bring your hands together and slowly draw them down past each chakra.

Until your hands come back down to the ground.

And then regularly come back to this practice to recharge and rebalance.

Thank you for sharing your time.

Have a wonderful day.
