Welcome.
This is Padma Gordon and this meditation is called Relax with Every Breath.
And it is intended to support you in easefully and effortlessly relaxing the body so that whether you are laying down before you go to sleep or sitting at your desk working or cooking in your kitchen,
You can gracefully relax with your breath.
It can be so simple.
Please make yourself comfortable.
Make yourself comfortable.
Because I'd like you to do this meditation initially laying down in a quiet place,
Turning off all distractions and taking this time for yourself.
Taking this time for yourself to consciously breathe,
Beginning with some easy breaths.
Because every breath invites you to let go.
Letting go and softening.
Perhaps sensing how you're being held,
Maybe even cradled from underneath.
That's right.
Feeling the weight,
The weight of your bones.
And as you do,
You might notice how the muscles and tissues can soften.
Relaxing and letting go.
Every breath is a signal for the mind to let go.
Thoughts let go.
They melt away.
Just the way an ice cube would melt if you placed it in a cup of hot water.
Thoughts melt away.
And any tension is melting away.
That's right.
You can let your mouth hang open just slightly so that the jaw becomes loose and slack.
The tongue heavy in your mouth.
Just like that.
Just like that.
And you might notice how your breath rises and falls.
The chest cavity expands and contracts.
And with every breath you can begin to relax a little bit more through the head and neck,
The tension simply melts away from your shoulders.
And the more you listen to this guided meditation,
The easier it gets,
Easier and easier to relax and let go,
Regardless of where you are or what you're doing.
So perhaps you might imagine yourself sitting at your desk,
Working away,
Except this time something is different.
Because when you breathe,
Even as you're sitting at your desk,
Your body begins to soften.
You might even imagine how the bottom side of you,
Your hips and pelvis are held by the chair.
As you sit at your desk,
Sensing your breath,
Softening the face.
And it's effortless.
It's easy to relax,
Even when you're focused and engaged in a task.
And gently allowing that visualization to drift away,
Dispersing,
Disappearing,
Returning to your breath.
The more you pay attention to your breath,
The easier it is to relax and let go.
Yes,
Relaxing and letting go.
You're doing so well.
Maybe even allowing a little smile to cross your lips,
Knowing that you have a key,
A secret key to relaxing,
No matter where you are or what you're doing.
The simple act of breathing sends a message to the rest of the body to relax,
Let go,
Bringing ease and peace to your entire body and being,
Ease and peace to your body and being.
And it can feel so good.
To breathe and relax,
To breathe and relax.
And even after my voice fades away,
You can continue to breathe and relax.
Relax with every breath,
Every breath,
Every breath.
And so it is.
And so it is.
And so it is.
And so it is.
And so it is.
