Namaste!
Welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.
Today is a good day,
Right?
Today we are gonna be talking about being true to yourself and what this last year has taught us.
Always an interesting topic of conversation.
What has 2020 actually brought for you?
What have you learned about yourself?
That's always a fun topic of conversation,
Right?
I know it's very difficult,
But I mean it's taught us so much.
It's taught us some icky lessons,
And it's taught us some great things I think about ourselves.
And I have to say,
I actually enjoy it.
I a lot I know so many people that that just despise change.
They get worried.
They're out of their elements,
Including my husband is the same way.
He didn't do well with change.
I on the other hand love change.
I love moving things around,
Just starting something new,
Learning something new.
I love the change,
And that's really what 2020 was about.
It was about learning something new about ourselves.
You know,
I mean I think the biggest lesson is is that we can do this.
Whatever life throws at you,
We can do this.
To me,
That is like the biggest sort of lesson that we've all sort of learned,
I think.
You know,
So but what I want to talk about right now is being true to ourselves.
2020 has allowed us time to sit and learn about ourselves a little bit.
I learned so much about myself this year.
I learned so,
You know,
What did you learn?
What did you learn about yourself this year?
Probably stuff that you never thought you would learn,
I would imagine,
Right?
And it was such an amazing time of healing.
I really mean spiritual healing,
But you know what?
I could mean physical healing too,
Right?
It was a time of healing,
And it's ongoing.
That's where our,
That's where sort of the energy on earth is taking us right now.
On a journey of healing,
Right?
And the one thing that that sort of was constant throughout the year was trusting ourselves and learning how to be a new version of ourselves that we didn't even know existed.
I know that's kind of deep,
Isn't it?
But who is your true self?
Did you feel like in 2020 that you were able to sort of latch on to a better version of yourself or a new version or the old version that maybe got tucked away a little bit and that you were able to bring back?
That's what,
That's what I learned specifically.
I mean there are things I brought back my love of music at making music.
I haven't done that in years,
You know?
I have a beautiful piano that I just don't use that often,
But I'm bringing that back.
I'm learning how to play new instruments,
You know?
I mean it's just like new versions of the old version,
If that makes any sense,
Right?
It's healing.
It's bringing us back to our true nature,
Our grounding.
So that's what we're going to meditate on today.
We're going to meditate on trusting the divine light inside.
That's the best thing that we can do for ourselves,
Don't you think?
Trusting the divine light inside us.
Beautiful.
So let's get ourselves comfortable today.
Let's get ourselves comfortable,
Whether it's sitting,
Lying down,
Whatever works best for you.
David G.
Always,
And I know I say this all the time,
David G.
Talks about comfort is queen.
If you are at all interested in creating a meditation practice for yourself,
One of the first things and best things you can do is make sure that you're comfortable because you will come back if you're comfortable.
So alrighty then.
Alright,
So let's get ourselves comfortable and let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.
What a beautiful thing to do first thing in the morning.
Take that deep,
Deep breath.
That'd be a great thing to do right when you open your eyes.
Think about a few things you're grateful for and take a deep breath.
Let's do that again.
Take one more nice,
Really beautiful deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
So before we start our meditation,
Sitting in the quiet,
Let's think about a few things in our life that you are grateful for.
Specifically,
Let's consider 2020.
What are a few things that you are grateful that you learned this year?
I'm sure that there's plenty of things that you are not grateful for,
But let's try to focus on the things that we are grateful for from this year.
It could just be that you actually read a full book.
You had time to sit and read a book.
Or you had time to reimagine your career.
Or simply you got to spend more time with your family.
So our mantra for today that we will repeat in our in our meditation,
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
If you lose the meditation or you forget it somehow,
It's all okay.
Just bring yourself back to your breath.
When in doubt,
You can always go back to concentrating on your breath.
Breathing in and breathing out.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies and know that throughout our day we can always look back at that mantra and feel a sense of peace.
I trust the divine light that is inside me.
Let's take a deep breath in and release.
Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
Awesome.
I hope you all enjoyed that.
We've got nothing if we don't have who we are.
The divine light.
We've got the divine light inside us.
So thank you so much for joining today.
Very much appreciate each and every one of you.
So until next time,
Namaste everybody.
Have a beautiful day.
