Today we are getting back to basics.
That's what we're doing today,
Because with the pandemic,
With all of the junk,
With,
You know,
The energy that's been out there,
Good,
Bad,
All of that stuff,
It's been kind of crazy,
Right?
And I thought,
You know,
We need to get ourselves back to basics,
Um,
The basics of meditation.
Okay.
There are,
We have between 60 and 80,
000 thoughts every day,
Right?
And I know I've said this before,
But here's the thing.
We need to consider what those thoughts are.
What are those thoughts like for us?
Are they good thoughts,
Angry thoughts,
Jealous thoughts,
Whatever they are,
Managing them is the key to living a full life.
Okay.
And when I say managing them,
I mean bringing the thoughts to a place where it's manageable.
Um,
What's the word I want to say?
Not just manageable,
But,
But in alignment with the universe,
Because we don't want to go through our life being mad or sad or whatever,
All that stuff,
Right?
We want to be happy.
We want to live full lives.
At least I do.
I don't know about you guys.
I'm sure you do too.
So that's why I wanted to talk about this today,
Because living our lives to its fullest degree,
Meditation is the way to do that.
And I was recently reminded,
And if you want to,
If you want to play full out on this,
Okay.
There's the morning meditation,
And then there's the afternoon meditation,
Which Davidji likes to call the bookend meditation.
Yeah.
Um,
What you do is you meditate in the morning and it can be really,
It doesn't have to be a really long meditation.
And you just start your day out,
Maybe create an intention and,
And meditate on a beautiful mantra.
Right?
And then later on in the afternoon,
Before dinner,
Right,
You take all of the thoughts from the day and you sort of release it.
You release all of the craziness that you've had for the day.
And I'm here to tell you,
I have never been the best at,
Um,
I've never been the best at the bookend,
Like the afternoon one.
But just recently I started doing the afternoon meditation.
And again,
It doesn't have to be like forever.
You don't have to sit for an hour.
Right?
You just sit for 20 minutes,
Maybe.
Right?
It changes everything.
It will change your attitude towards life.
It's crazy how it works.
It's crazy.
I used to do it.
And then I kind of slacked off on the afternoon because,
You know,
You get busy,
Right?
And now I started doing it again and I'm in a whole different space.
Right?
So we're going to start out our morning meditation right now.
Okay.
Right now.
Okay.
And if you want,
What could be interesting is you could go to Insight Timer and find a,
Because it tells you how long the meditations are.
Okay.
Go to Insight Timer and find just a short one that can help you release your,
Your whatever,
Your whatever emotions for the rest,
For the afternoon one.
I mean,
It's not that hard and it can,
Honestly,
It can change the trajectory of your life,
Of your day and your relationships.
I'm a whole different person since I've been meditating.
Right?
So,
So anyway.
Okay.
So let's get ourselves comfortable because let's make today's morning meditation impactful.
Okay.
Let's get ourselves comfortable and let's sit nicely and let's take a deep breath in really slow and purposeful.
Breathe in and release.
Awesome.
Can let your eyes float closed.
Awesome.
Can let your eyes float closed.
Now on this beautiful day,
Let's consider an intention.
Let's create an intention for today.
What is an intention that you can create for yourself that's not dramatic?
It doesn't have to be like,
Um,
It doesn't have to be a big,
Like I'm going to change the world type intention.
But it,
Let's create some kind of intention for today.
My intention is to get everything done on my to-do list.
That's an,
That's an intention that is impactful on your day.
And it's like,
You know,
When you have a to-do list and you start checking things off,
Don't you feel great?
So there's that.
My intention could be,
I'm just going to smile all day.
It could be as simple as smiling to other people.
What is your intention for today?
And as we're considering that,
Let's also go to gratitude.
What are you grateful for today?
There is so,
So much to be grateful for.
So much to be grateful for.
Always,
Always,
Always.
Spirit just whispered in my ear,
Life is one great big pool of things to be grateful for.
You know,
I give up these meditations before I do them,
Right?
So spirit whispers in my ear sometimes,
A great big pool of things to be grateful for.
How beautiful is that?
So as we get ready to sit in the silence just for a few moments,
I want to call our attention to the mantra for today.
I found an explanation for this particular mantra on resonantmind.
Org.
And it is absolutely,
I want to read it word for word because it's amazing.
So our mantra for today is Om Moksha Ritam.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Om refers to the universal energy and vibration.
It attunes us to our true nature.
Moksha is emotional freedom and release.
It's our liberation.
And Ritam is the rhythm of the universe.
So when you use the mantra Om Moksha Ritam,
You are attuning to your true nature.
Letting go of what you no longer need and feeling the rhythm of the universe.
Couldn't we all use that today?
That almost brings me to tears.
Om Moksha Ritam.
If you lose the mantra in the middle,
That's absolutely okay.
Just focus on your breath.
And let's begin.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Om Moksha Ritam.
Ritam.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
And know that our intention is with us,
Deep inside who we are in our soul.
Let's take a nice deep breath in,
Breathing in our intention.
And breathe out,
Letting it go to the world.
And whenever you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
Beautiful.
Didn't we need kind of like this reset?
We kind of needed this reset today,
I feel like.
It's all,
It's all going to be okay.
Everything is going to be great.
Today is going to be a fantastic day.
Right?
Because we're going to make it that way.
It's a release.
So,
Thank you so much for joining everybody.
I really appreciate each and every one of you.
And until next time,
Everybody,
Namaste.
Have a beautiful day.
