This week, Jeffrey and Mark turn the page and allow their conversation to take a more organic, freeform direction loosely based on the Shaltazar message Learn to Accept and Love What Is. The two dissect Mark’s hypothesis that most of us are unaware of the negative flavor of our internal dialogue and how we are each living the manifestations resulting from the movies we unconsciously allow to play nonstop in our minds.

And welcome back to another episode of Dissecting the Wisdom of Shaltazar.

I'm back with my good friend and collaborator,

Mark Lane.

Welcome back,

Mark.

Thank you,

Jeffrey.

Great to be here.

Excellent.

Good.

Today,

We're going to change the format just slightly.

Mark and I have been talking about it,

And up until now in Dissecting the Wisdom of Shaltazar,

We have chosen a particular message that we want to dissect,

And we've come to realize that that's a bit restrictive,

And in the spirit of Shaltazar,

They would want us to be as open as possible and as divergent as possible.

So we have decided that Mark's just going to pick a topic that comes from the wisdom of Shaltazar,

And we're just going to talk about that topic.

And it may not necessarily connect to a particular message,

But it has very much to do with the wisdom and teachings of Shaltazar.

And thanks,

Mark,

For that idea,

To change that format.

I'm always an explorer,

And I'm always looking to change things,

So I appreciate that idea.

Oh,

Good.

I'm glad.

So what is the topic that we're going to start with today?

Can I say start with,

Because you never really know where we're going to wind up,

Do we?

All right.

Yeah,

These conversations tend to take on a life of their own,

And hopefully people enjoy them.

I know we enjoy doing them,

So.

So what are we going to talk about?

So thought occurred to me to talk about internal dialogue,

And kind of what's going on in our minds when our minds are perhaps idle.

I've been spending a little bit more time in the car lately,

And I have quiet time where I'm really not occupied by anything productive.

And I guess I started to notice that the things that I was thinking about during those idle moments were not necessarily positive.

And I've talked a little bit about this,

And we continue to talk about the idea of manifestation,

And where your thoughts are creating reality.

And it occurred to me that this internal dialogue,

Or this background chatter going on in my head,

Wasn't necessarily positive.

And I started to think,

Well,

Maybe the negative outcomes I'm experiencing in my life are because this dialogue is manifesting exactly what I don't want.

And that's kind of,

I guess,

Where I started with this idea.

Because I think that the vast majority of people are kind of in the same boat.

I know I listen to friends,

Family members,

The things that come out of their mouths that are kind of telling with respect to what's going on in their heads is kind of negative.

It's problem-based,

And not,

I guess,

Directed in a positive way,

If that makes sense.

Absolutely,

Absolutely.

And thank you for choosing that topic,

Because it's so interesting in a lot of the material from Shaltazar,

And in our conversations,

We talk about the laws of creation,

And laws of manifestation,

And how your vibration creates your reality,

Etc.

,

Etc.

And you're bringing it down to something that's really interesting.

Well,

If that's the case,

And if we do believe that we create our own reality,

Then those thoughts that we are having must be affecting what is coming our way.

Right.

And that's huge,

Right?

I mean,

We're now taking this from the abstract,

From the overview,

To something really specific.

So does that mean that the thoughts,

The negative thoughts that we are having throughout the day could be keeping away the things that we want in life?

Right,

Right.

And we had a little bit of a conversation about this previously,

But it's starting to occur to me,

I guess,

That we're manifesting our reality a lot more immediately,

And a lot more prevalently than most of us think.

I'm starting to be able to see the connection between thoughts,

And attitudes,

And opinions,

And like I said,

That internal dialogue,

And what's appearing in life,

Or in what we're calling reality.

Maybe a good example,

I've got,

Well,

I had two teenage daughters,

One of them is no longer a teenager,

I still have one teenage daughter.

And my wife and I are forever trying to understand her,

And what is motivating her,

And what she's thinking about.

And it occurred to me that these conversations we have about her are not really casting her in the most positive light.

As humans,

I think we're kind of programmed to be problem solvers.

And so we are looking for problems,

Looking for things to fix all the time,

Instead of seeing things how we want them to be.

And my take on my daughter is a little bit different than my wife's,

And my wife sees a lot of trouble,

And a lot of problems,

And a lot of mistakes,

And misdirections.

And these internal conversations that she has,

These imaginary conversations she has with my daughter in her own head,

Are always kind of confrontational and difficult.

And she envisions kind of a lack of communication,

And no positive result at the end of the conversation.

And that's what she keeps getting,

And it started to occur to me,

Well,

Maybe that's because that's what you're expecting to have happen,

Or that's the movie that's playing in your mind.

And so that's the reality that's occurring,

Because my experience with my daughter is a little bit different.

I have a little bit of a different approach,

And I don't necessarily have that negative conversation going on in my head.

And so our conversations tend to be a little different than the conversation she has with my wife.

And I guess that's kind of what started this role in my head.

But the dilemma we now face is,

And I agree with you,

By the way,

But we don't want to become neurotic about every thought and every feeling that we have.

Because if we do,

Then that intensity is not going to get us what we want.

And I guess what's coming in my mind is,

And I'm hearing Shel Tazara saying,

Surrender.

And there's that concept of surrender.

You can't try too hard to think only positive thoughts.

You can't try too hard to only put out a certain vibration,

Because the harder you try,

That vibration is going to be affected.

And you mentioned a day or so ago the topic we were going to talk about,

And although I don't prepare,

I was kind of thinking about,

Well,

How does it work?

How does it work?

And what came to me was kind of interesting.

I really believe the way it works is that there is an algorithm that we cannot comprehend,

That we can't understand.

It's a multidimensional algorithm.

And I don't know if you've had any experience on social media.

You know,

Like you search somewhere on the internet,

And next thing you know,

You open up your social media and you get an ad for that.

Or did you ever wonder why you're seeing this person on social media and not that person?

It's because I believe social media has an algorithm that kind of gets to know you and feeds this content to you.

I think that's the way our thoughts and feelings are working.

I don't think it's to the point that if I have a dark thought,

Something terrible is going to happen to me tomorrow.

I do want to comment on a point you made,

Though.

Shaltazar has led me to believe that things are speeding up.

Things are happening faster.

And so the algorithm has been changed.

And what used to take years and years to manifest from your feelings or vibrations now may take months.

And so it's a good time for us to become aware of the thoughts and vibrations that we are having and putting out because we are creating faster.

But I would encourage listeners not to get too hung up and not to be too neurotic about those thoughts,

But try to do it in a more fluid way to become a little bit more aware of are these positive or are these negative?

What can I do to maybe make them a little bit more positive if they're negative?

Does that algorithm explanation make any sense to you?

Yeah,

No,

It does.

And I guess the way I'm understanding kind of this knowing is more of a,

Not necessarily such a proactive change how you're thinking framework,

But more just notice what you're thinking and be aware of what you're thinking.

Because that's kind of what happened to me.

It was sort of like,

It all of a sudden occurred to me that these conversations I'm having in this dialogue that I'm having,

This problem solving was not,

I didn't have a picture in my head of how I wanted things to be,

Working out a positive outcome in a gentle collaborative conversation.

I was having confrontational kind of conversations and I was having fear over outcomes I didn't want.

And it was just kind of a revelation to me to start paying attention to what was going on in my own head because I don't think I was.

I think I was just kind of operating out of habit.

It's like this whole idea of awareness and be more conscious of your mental processes.

I think that's the important part of it really.

You got it.

You got it.

I agree 100%.

I'm just in the process of working through a channel message from Shelte Sauer that's exactly about that.

The first step is that awareness to become aware of your vibe,

To become aware of your thoughts,

To become aware of your feelings without trying to change them.

Just work on that sense of awareness.

The fact that you were aware of your perspective on your daughter and how your perspective and energy and vibration was different than your wife's.

I know Shelte Sauer would encourage us to work on that because don't jump right in and say,

Oh my God,

I have to change all of my thoughts.

The late Wayne Dyer,

I believe said that we have between 30 and 60,

000 thoughts a day.

Can you imagine if people were interpreting what we're talking about saying,

Oh my God,

I've got to change between 30 and 60,

000 thoughts a day.

How the hell am I going to do it?

It's not that literal.

It's not that literal.

It's really around the trends.

It's really around what is the,

Of the 30 to 60,

000 thoughts you have today,

Generally are they more positive than negative?

And if they're more negative from that place of awareness,

Just set the intention that tomorrow I'd like to have a little bit higher percentage of positive thoughts.

It's not the thought,

It's the energy of the thought that is the most important.

Balthazar says that emotions and feelings create.

So it's not the thought,

It's the feeling associated with the thought that is the powerful part of creation.

So tune in to how you feel.

And I think you pointed out that,

You know,

Your wife is not feeling really positive.

And so it would be up to her to say,

I need to have better self-talk.

I need to have different self-talk that makes me feel better.

And you know,

COVID is a perfect opportunity.

We're really all being stirred up.

All of our,

You know,

The things that we expect are taken away from us.

There is no normal,

So to speak.

The rug has been pulled out from under us.

It's an opportunity now to be aware of how that is making us feel.

Right,

Right.

Yeah.

And giving us an opportunity to perhaps be a little more reflective,

Right?

And to get out of that habit reaction to the world around us,

You know,

We're asked to,

It seems like we're being asked to be,

To live more mindfully and to,

You know,

Make conscious choices versus just repetitive habitual choices.

100%.

And you caught it to be reflective,

Which is really kind of interesting because if that range is correct and we are having 30 to 60,

000 thoughts a day,

I would much prefer to have 30,

000 thoughts that I'm going to have to reflect on as opposed to 60,

000 thoughts.

And that's where meditation comes in.

You and I are both big fans of meditation to be able to slow down the thoughts so you can get a bit of a sense of that reflection,

Right?

Okay.

I think is really,

Really important.

And I remember early in my journey,

I kind of felt the number of thoughts that I was having slowly come down and my life became a little bit more manageable.

When I was in the corporate world,

I had this false belief that the person with the most thoughts wins the game.

And so when I would get up in the morning and hit the shower,

It's like,

Quick,

Start thinking,

This is a race.

How many thoughts am I going to have today?

And you know,

I wound up having to go to a practitioner and get a meted,

Get a hypnosis tape so I can fall asleep at night because you try and slow down that active mind when you go to sleep,

You can't turn that switch off.

So I agree with you a hundred percent being reflective is important because you want to get a sense of the trend of your vibration for your thoughts.

If you can slow down the number of thoughts in the day,

It's going to be a lot easier to be reflective.

Right.

Right.

And I also think,

And I'm interested in if you agree with this idea,

But when you're thinking,

I don't think you can be in the present moment because your mind is taking over from your awareness.

Is that?

I would agree a hundred percent.

I would agree a hundred percent.

I would add the caveat that if your thinking is slower,

Okay,

You have again,

What the late Wayne Dyer talked about the gap and if there's a gap between your thoughts,

It's like catching your breath.

And so if you could have less thoughts,

If you could sort of take a breath.

Right.

And it's interesting when people are talking often they don't take a breath.

Right.

They just keep talking and talking.

Well,

If your mind is operating like that,

You can't be observing,

You can't be reflecting,

You can't be watching.

Shaltazar leads us to believe that if we can slow down the mind,

We can invoke the observer so that we can to a certain degree be thinking and observing those thoughts at the same time.

But I truly believe that that only occurs when the thought process is a slower,

More,

It's a process.

Different?

That's the word.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Right.

You see?

Yeah.

So,

Yeah.

Right.

Which is interesting.

You notice that I stuttered a little bit.

What I really should have and I don't like shoulds have done was just allow silence to give me the word.

But when we get into that pattern of talking,

We really kind of feel that we've just got to keep talking and talking.

If I would have allowed a gap,

Okay,

Obviously you felt the word that I was trying to think of and thank you for feeding it back to me.

We're capable of becoming more deliberate with our thoughts,

Deliberate with our speech,

With our talking,

If we allow a little bit more of a gap.

Right.

And we become better listeners too,

I think.

Right.

Mm-hmm.

Which reminds me of that saying,

Listen to understand,

Don't listen to respond.

If you're listening to respond,

Your mind is going at the same time the person is talking.

Whereas if you could quiet the mind and fully engage in the listening process,

Then you will hear that person and understand them more fully.

Right.

Right.

I like that.

I just wrote that down.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's so interesting,

Again,

Because we've loosened up the way we handle these episodes.

We've sort of have really covered some really interesting points that started with your premise that we need to become more conscious of our vibration.

And we've been able to share some tips on the way to do that.

So there's a perfect example by releasing us from talking about a particular topic,

We've allowed ourselves to diverge and become a little bit more loose.

And so,

Yeah,

I've kind of enjoyed that.

I hope you have as well.

I have.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Well,

Considering it was your idea,

You can take a bow for that.

If I do,

I'll hit my head on my microphone.

Well,

Thank you for the idea.

And I don't want you to hit your head on the microphone.

We're just about out of time.

So thanks for that topic.

It was really interesting.

I encourage the listeners to listen to what we're saying without thinking,

Be more reflective,

Be more deliberate,

And realize that you can adjust your thinking,

You can adjust your vibrations,

And you will be able to then become more conscious of what you're creating,

Because we are creators all of the time,

Whether we know it or not.

Any last words,

Mark?

Amen.

I very,

Very well put.

Excellent.

Thank you so much.

And we'll see you again next week.

To our listeners,

Thanks very much for tuning in.

Love and light to you all.
