When you are triggered by an event or a person, step left. Choose again. Your decision about how you interpret the event or person is the start of new energy being shared. Choose negativity and limitation and you will receive more of that. Choose positivity and abundance and that is what will come back to you. Use this practice to learn how to make choices that support you. Remember, you are always at choice for the meaning you give to a person or event.

Welcome to the Heart Space.

Today we are going to talk about choices and how your choices create your reality.

So to set this up I'm going to read a passage from the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The dream you are living is your creation.

It is your perception of reality that you can change at any time.

You have the power to create hell and you have the power to create heaven.

Why not dream a different dream?

Why not use your mind,

Your imagination,

And your emotions to dream heaven?

Indeed,

Why not?

We are so caught up in trying to be right and being in control that we forget this essential power that every human being possesses.

The power to create.

So please get comfortable in your chair,

Feel your feet on the floor,

Imagine the four corners of your feet grounding themselves to the earth and shift your shoulders back and your chin up and take a deep slow breath with me and release.

If your shoulders have any tension,

Rotate them and move your neck until you find a comfortable place where you can rest and be held for the next few minutes.

Let's step into our imagination and think about a situation that caused you to feel anxious or angry or frustrated.

You felt tightness in your body and bring that to mind as you're breathing deeply and see the people involved.

See yourself,

But you're observing yourself.

You're not yourself in this reimagining and as you notice how you responded,

How you behaved,

What energy you are feeling,

Ask yourself now if there wasn't a different way to be in that situation.

If there wasn't a new perspective that you could have chosen instead of what you did choose.

Wrap yourself in love and let go of those needs to be right or to be in control and breathe in to this new space.

Release those needs and breathe in to the possibility that you could have responded from your heart space.

You could have seen a new possibility that allowed the situation to unfold without your reaction,

Without your limited thinking and without you being constricted.

Continue to breathe.

Do you see yourself acting any differently?

Can you feel yourself being more open,

Loving,

Kind,

Accepting?

Do you know that you had a choice in that moment?

You had a choice of what you chose to be,

How you chose to be in that moment and just sit with that.

Keep imagining that situation and imagine how different it could have been if you had just stepped left.

So imagine all the possibilities that could have played out in that situation and put them on a merry-go-round.

Put each one as a slice on that merry-go-round and as you slowly turn the merry-go-round and a new situation comes up in front of you.

See how that feels.

See how that scenario could have played out and how you would have felt afterwards.

So continue to breathe and go ahead and step left to the next scenario,

The next possibility.

Can you see how your response to that situation impacted so much more than just you?

Can you see that there's ripple effects and there's an energetic exchange that you probably weren't even aware of and that's okay because we're all learning this beingness,

This being human.

So take another deep breath in and go ahead and step left one more time.

What is it in this last scenario,

This last possibility that you can take with you back into your day that you can use to remind you that when you feel that tightness in your body you can recognize it and choose differently.

Perhaps it's the way you feel in this particular scenario after the exchange is over.

Perhaps it's because you saw love in the other person even though their behavior was not loving.

Perhaps it's because you now realize how important your choices are and how much one decision can cause a cascade of impact,

An avalanche of effect,

A ripple that you don't know where it goes.

So take that in and know that you are a creator.

You are powerful and you are masterful at creating your reality.

So commit right now to being love,

Being joy,

Being happiness,

Being acceptance,

Any way of being that expands you and those around you.

You are that and as you declare that for yourself it becomes so.

Thank you for coming back again and again and refining your choices as you move out into the world.

Thank you 🙏🏽 Kathryn for being the vehicle I needed to receive confirmation that I’m making the proper decision to relieve the stress of caring for my aging mother. I’ve decided to “step left” and relinquish control of her daily care. That was so hard for me to do ... because of the “no one can do it better than I can” mentality, which can sometimes cause a loss of reality and hope for help!😬

Typically i have to work on my judgementsl thoughts. It takes awhile to warm up to people in the first place, but I think my filters are skewed and this is difficult now. By listening to this meditation I’ve been able to see I need more work with my traumas. Thank you for helping me
