Hi.
Good morning.
Good afternoon.
Good evening.
Good night.
Whatever the time is,
Wherever you are,
Welcome.
Welcome to Time Out.
And well done for taking this time for yourself.
Because especially in these difficult times,
We need to let our body rest to find a place of peace,
Calmness,
And stillness where our minds and our emotions can be settled,
Restored,
And refreshed so that we can see things clearly,
Handle things more easily without being stressed or tense.
So welcome.
Each time we come,
We'll take a journey.
And the journey may surprise you.
You may find you've been on the journey before,
But each time it will be different because each time you will be in a different state,
A different mind,
A different emotion.
So come in and settle yourselves down.
Make yourself comfortable.
And allow this time just for you.
This is your time out.
We will use our imaginations,
Visualization,
To take ourselves on these journeys inwards into that place that's always there.
And if we practice,
We can drop into it any time that we need to be calm and peaceful.
So close your eyes now and move yourself into that warm,
Dark space behind your eyes,
A place where only you can go,
Where you can be safe.
This is your space.
And on your screen of your mind there now,
I'd like you to imagine the picture to feel a gentle flame,
Just a small flame,
Flickering.
Notice the colors,
Yellows,
Oranges,
Reds,
Blues,
Perhaps even white,
As a gentle breeze let your flame flicker.
Look into the flame and feel yourself drifting into it,
Into it,
Until you realize that the flame is a campfire,
Campfire in the middle of a beautiful large expanse of soft grass,
A cleared area surrounded by soft grass.
You feel really safe here.
It is late evening and there's that softness of the night air as it starts to fall,
As you sit around your campfire.
And you realize that you are not alone,
That you are seated within a circle of perhaps family or friends,
A circle of loved ones,
People whom you know care for you.
Watching the flames and perhaps even being aware of your surroundings,
Of the expanse of the evening sky,
The colors in the flames match the colors in the sky,
That space,
That depths,
Watching the flames now,
Feeling the warmth,
Listening to the sounds of the fire,
A gentle crackle,
A pop,
Flickering back and forth.
Feel the warmth,
Feel the peace,
The gentle sounds,
The evening sky and the peace.
And let your thoughts and your tensions and your anxieties drift from you into the fire and dissolve.
Just take your time and feel as the fire is drawing in your fears,
Things that have been bothering you,
And you feel lighter and lighter as they are drawn into the fire and dissolve.
Feel them move off your shoulders and neck,
Down your arms and from your fingers,
Down your body and legs and off your feet,
Off the top of your head,
All your anxieties,
Thoughts,
That you don't need at the moment,
Tensions drifting into the fire and dissolving.
And now notice the smoke of the fire as it drifts up into the evening air and let yourself rise with the smoke,
Higher and higher into the deepening blue sky,
Higher,
Lighter,
Deeper and deeper into the stars that are starting to come out and the space,
Deep into the stillness of the space,
Relaxed,
At ease,
So far away from the tensions and stresses.
Relax and just sit or lie or stand in that space.
Feel its calmness,
Feel its peace.
Focus on the silence,
Focus on the peace,
The stars and the space,
So still,
So at ease,
So calm,
So light,
Released,
Light.
Now draw that calmness,
That peace into you.
Feel it flow into your skin and from your skin into every cell in your body,
Every cell,
32 trillion cells filled with peace,
With stillness and calmness.
And how,
Like on the waters of a lake that is ruffled or disturbed,
That peace,
That calmness settles the liquid within each cell.
And you can see things clearly,
Reflected perfectly.
And perhaps you may like to ask for help or for some advice out there in the space,
Maybe to do with your health or the situation or relationships.
Just ask,
Just ask for advice or help and be open to when it may come.
It may come immediately or it may present itself in an unusual way when you least expect it,
But it will come.
Ask now.
Bring it back with you,
Back as we drift back down through the drifting smoke,
Back,
Back to the circle around the campfire.
And you'll notice that the flames are becoming less,
Closing,
Folding,
Dying away,
Leaving the beautiful red,
Gold,
Orange embers.
Just focus on that and allow yourself to drift back now,
Back to that space behind your eyes,
Back to your place,
Your time,
Your space.
And bringing with you that stillness,
That calmness,
That clarity,
That sense of being much lighter,
Bring it back into your body now,
Into your cells,
Into your mind.
And just sit there and let it settle within all of you.
And bringing yourself back now with your body feeling yourself wherever you're sitting or lying or standing,
Your hands,
Your feet,
Your head,
Your skin,
And bringing yourself back,
Back to your time and place,
Ready to continue your day or night.
And remember,
Each time you practice taking time out,
Your body builds up its ability to instantly move into it.
And next time we'll practice little triggers that can remind our body of how to immediately drop into this space.
So enjoy your day or your night,
Your morning,
Your evening,
Your afternoon,
Whatever it is.
Go lightly,
Go with love.
And I'll see you next time,
In time out.
