The day is done. And how we unfold and leave it behind is a very important part of the bedtime ritual. Leaving it with gratitude and compassion. Giving thanks, allow the memory of the day to leave our bodies. Asking the energy of all that has been to be released. This is a part of clear and conscious release.

A gentle returing for retiring for the day,

Allowing ourselves to move on and release this day.

Standing with feet centred and even,

Feeling the strength in the legs supporting us,

Holding our torso firm,

Breathing it in,

Breathing it out,

Bringing the arms out to the side of the body,

Elbows bent and with a double breath in,

We breathe in and join the elbows together,

Breathe out,

Release,

Straighten the arms,

Double breath in together,

Breathe out,

Release and bring the arms down to the side,

Breathing it in,

Breathing it out,

Breathing it in,

Bringing the arms up above the head with a nice deep breath and breathing it out and as you release the arms,

Allowing the body to fold forward and down,

Gently,

Slowly releasing in a forward fold,

Breathe out and breathe in,

Slowly unfolding the body,

Curling through the spine,

Rising up,

Breathe out,

Roll shoulders back,

Bring the arms up above the head,

Breathe in,

Join the hands together in prayer,

Breathe out,

Release the hands to the chest in prayer position,

As we work into our body,

May we bring release from this day,

Let it go and allow ourselves to move forward,

Breathing it in,

Breathing it out,

Release the hands to the side of the body,

Working our way through the body,

Bringing breath down to feet,

Tensing the feet and breathing it out,

Releasing and relaxing,

Breathing into the legs,

Tensing the legs into the buttocks and breathe out and release and relax,

Breathing into the torso,

Through the stomach and the spine,

Through the chest and as we breathe out,

Release and relax,

Breathing in,

Bringing breath down the arms to the fingers,

Tensing,

Breathing out to release and relax,

Breathing in now through the throat to the mind,

Cleansing the jaw,

Breathing out,

Release and relax,

A long breath drawn in down to the feet,

Drawing up through the body and tense and breathe out to release and relax,

Breathing it in,

Breathing it out,

Breathing it in,

Thank you so much Cari :) This was a really great way to end the day, and the movement really helped me relax.
