So,
Beginning by allowing the eyes to soften,
Letting the muscles around the eyes be soft,
Allowing the focus within the eyes to be soft,
So that if your eyes were open,
Your gaze would be lightly resting on whatever you happen to be looking at,
And letting the eyes be kind,
Remembering what it's like to look with kindness,
Qualities of kindness,
Warmth,
Openness,
Gentleness,
Appreciation,
Fill your field of attention.
With soft eyes and kind eyes,
Our attention becomes much more open and receptive,
So that we can perceive sensations arising from all over the body,
Sensations of the breathing arising from all over the body,
And with soft eyes and kind eyes,
We can meet the richness of this experience with warmth,
With an open heart,
And you can just allow your attention to rest on the sensations of the breathing,
Like the atmosphere rests on the surface of an ocean,
As waves rise and fall,
Like you're breathing,
So letting go in the mind,
Letting the mind be at rest,
Letting go in the heart,
So that you're open to whatever arises,
And I invite you,
As you're sitting with a soft,
Restful field of attention,
To notice the texture of the mind,
Noticing to begin with,
Simply whether it's pleasant or neutral,
And notice how the texture of the mind reveals itself,
The more you can allow the mind to be at rest,
And the more you can allow the heart to be open and accepting,
How does the texture of the mind change as you allow the body to soften,
To be at ease,
And you may find that the texture of the mind,
When the body is soft,
When your attention is at rest,
And when your heart is open,
Is joy,
The hidden texture of the mind is joy,
And you can let this reveal itself to you as the body softens,
As your field of attention simply rests,
As the heart softens and becomes more open,
And as the breath rises and falls in the entire body,
So just continue allowing the mind's texture to reveal itself to you for the next couple of minutes,
Until you hear the bell
