Welcome to this Gratitude Affirmation Meditation to expand feelings of thankfulness and joy.
Let's begin.
Get comfortable either lying down or in a seated position.
Relax your body,
Dropping the shoulders,
Loosening the jaw and softening the belly.
Turn your attention to your breath,
Taking slow deep breaths,
Breathing deep into the belly if this feels comfortable.
Let's breathe together,
Breathing in gently,
2,
3,
4 and exhaling gently through the mouth,
2,
3,
4.
And again,
Breathing in,
2,
3,
4 and exhaling through the mouth,
2,
3,
4.
One more time,
Breathing in gently and slowly,
2,
3,
4 and exhaling any remaining tension through the mouth,
2,
3,
4.
Sigh it all away.
Feeling relaxed,
Grounded and calm,
Allow your breath to return to its own rhythm for a few moments.
Practicing gratitude on a daily basis is a powerful way to increase feelings of appreciation and positivity which then flows into every area of your life.
If you're stuck in a negative or pessimistic mindset,
Gratitude helps you gain perspective and makes you realize just how blessed you truly are.
Take a few moments to reflect on the following questions,
All designed to help you get into a state of deep gratitude.
What are you most grateful for in your life right now?
Who are you grateful for and why?
What little things are you thankful for today?
Who or what have you been taking for granted?
If you're currently facing struggles or setbacks,
Is it possible to be grateful for these experiences?
What might they be trying to teach you?
What are you most thankful for about yourself and your own abilities?
Take a few moments to reflect on your life and all the wonderful blessings it contains.
Repeat the following gratitude affirmations either aloud or in your mind to further cultivate feelings of deep appreciation.
You may wish to place your hands on your heart as you focus on these affirmations.
I am grateful for the gift of a new day.
I am truly blessed.
I am thankful for all the wonderful people in my life.
I am grateful for my home and the comfort it provides.
I stopped taking luxuries for granted and see how fortunate I am.
I see obstacles as valuable lessons.
I have so many things to be thankful for.
I am healthy,
Strong and energetic.

I cultivate the quality of seeing the best in every situation.
I am thankful for the gift of delicious food.
I am grateful for all the lessons that shaped me into the person I am today.

I use the power of perspective to learn what truly matters to me.
I am loved and for this I am truly grateful.
I choose to see my life as a blessing.
I am ready to expand my heart to become even more thankful.
Take a deep breath in and feel your heart center open and expand.
Release any remaining resistance with a big sigh.
Be proud of yourself for taking some time today to cultivate feelings of deep gratitude and appreciation.
Bringing your attention back to the body,
Begin to move and stretch if this feels good.
Keep these feelings of gratitude with you as you have a wonderful day.
