This is the fourth meditation in the Process Meditation Series. I can learn to hold both awareness and body in focus at the same time. This creates a union between awareness and body that will open the door to continuous, effortless transformation. This transformation is the product of self-love. My body loves Awareness, and Awareness loves my body.

This is a guided exercise which will help us to integrate the experience of being aware with everything that we're aware of.

We can start with our vision.

And I can again notice all the things that I can see.

And I can shift my attention to my awareness.

This makes awareness and what I'm aware of two different things.

But what happens if we focus on them together?

What if we expand our focus to include both the experience of being aware and everything that we see?

We relax into this expanded focus that includes our vision and our awareness.

I become aware of my hearing.

I notice all the sounds,

The information that I can hear.

I shift my attention to awareness.

Which feels like hearing silence.

And then I expand my focus to include both the sounds that I hear and this receptive silence of awareness.

Both qualities of our experience existing in a single experience.

Sounds and silence.

Information and awareness.

And I become aware of my head as a physical object with boundaries.

And inside the boundaries of my head there's an experience.

Stuff is happening,

Sensations,

Potentially thoughts,

A sense of energy.

I feel that.

Then I turn my attention to awareness.

Awareness doesn't feel like a physical object with boundaries.

But I can include both.

I can shift my attention or expand my attention to include both my head.

And I include both the information of my head and the space that that information is happening in.

So that it feels like my head is in a space of awareness.

And I'm learning to hold my focus or expand my focus to include both these qualities.

I bring my attention down to my chest,

My back,

Shoulders,

Neck.

I focus inside the boundary of my body.

I am inside my body and I feel all the sensations that are here present.

My body,

All the emotions,

All the energy in this part of the body.

And then I shift my attention to awareness.

Awareness doesn't have a boundary.

Awareness is not my body.

But my body,

My chest and back,

Is inside the experience of being aware.

And I can focus on both my body and awareness at the same time.

So that it feels like my body is inside space.

My body is inside the space of I am.

Or awareness.

Just see if you can relax your focus to include both.

I shift my attention down into my belly,

Lower back.

I am inside my body now and I feel what is inside my body with me.

I shift my attention to awareness.

And I notice that my belly and my lower back are inside the experience of being aware.

And I include that.

So it feels like the information,

The experience of my belly and back are inside an awake space.

I shift my attention now to my hips and pelvis.

I focus inside my body.

This is a contraction of focus into a small area.

I notice how it feels to be inside this part of my body.

And the sensations and experiences present here with me.

I shift my attention to awareness.

It doesn't feel like I'm in my body anymore.

My body is inside of me,

This experience of I am.

And I include my hips inside this experience of I am aware.

So that it feels like my pelvis is inside my belly.

My pelvis is floating in space.

And I'm learning to hold the space and my body in focus at the same time.

Again,

I contract my attention into my legs.

I focus like a flashlight inside my legs.

I notice how it feels to be inside my legs.

And what is here with me.

I shift my attention to awareness.

And I include the experience of my legs in awareness.

I expand my focus to include my whole body.

I have one body.

My one body is inside my one experience of being aware.

And I focus on both my body and the awareness.

My body has a boundary.

Awareness does not have a boundary.

Finally,

Let's explore what is here with me.

What is the quality of the relationship between my body and awareness?

We can start by asking awareness.

How does awareness receive my body?

How does it feel about my body?

And I ask my body how it feels about awareness.

And I propose a marriage based upon a mutual love.

A pure and unconditional love between I am aware and my body.

I allow my focus to induce a kind of merging.

A sort of saturation of the body with awareness.

An invitation for this boundless awareness to influence,

To fill,

To hold my body.

What is this marriage like for you?

What would your life be like if you lived in this union between awareness and your body?
