Adjust the body into a relaxed seated or lying down position.
Feel the connection between the body and the surface beneath you.
You can let your eyes soften closed and feel your whole body relaxing.
Feel yourself becoming fully present here.
Become aware of your breathing.
Take a big inhale,
Feel the chest expand.
And with a long exhale,
Feel the body soften.
Another deep inhale through the nose.
And long exhale through the nose.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Start to bring your attention to the center of the chest,
The heart center.
Feel yourself breathing into this space and simply notice how do you feel in there today.
This meditation is about cultivating unconditional love for ourselves.
You yourself are the embodiment of infinite and unconditional love.
This love is your own divine nature.
Self love is not selfish.
It's not conceited nor vain.
Self love is the remembrance of who you truly are.
Self love sets you free.
So breathing in,
Know that you are worthy of love.
And breathing out,
You are worthy of your own love.
Breathe even deeper and know that you yourself are love.
Now continue to feel and breathe into your heart space.
And as you do,
Start to feel or imagine as though you're awakening love inside.
Feel or imagine your heart filling with the beauty of love.
With the sensations,
The feeling,
The very experience of love in your heart.
And if it feels good,
Let it feel good.
If it feels strange,
Let it feel strange.
And continue to breathe into the heart space.
Imagine this unconditional love filling your heart so full that it starts to overflow.
You can feel this sensation of love or visualize it as a soft pink light starting to flow from your heart center outwards,
Filling into all parts of you.
With each breath,
Feel or visualize this love filling your entire chest.
Imagine this love pouring down your arms to your fingers.
Feel it expanding down your torso and swirling through your belly.
Feel it flowing down through your legs to your toes.
And imagine this love rising up through to the crown of the head.
With each breath,
Filling your entire being with love.
And now reflect upon a part of yourself that you truly appreciate.
Perhaps the legs that carry you,
The eyes that allow you to see,
Your caring heart or your curious mind,
Whatever it is for you that you truly appreciate.
And imagine offering your love and your gratitude to this aspect of you.
With each wave of breath,
Imagine sending love there now.
And now reflect upon a part of yourself that may feel difficult to appreciate.
Perhaps something you judge or criticize in yourself.
Maybe a part of your body,
Your mind or a personality.
And imagine sending now your love,
Your compassion and forgiveness into these parts of you.
With every breath,
Imagine sending this love and compassion there now.
And even if it feels uncomfortable or you notice some resistance,
Can you bring your love to that discomfort?
Can you bring your compassion to that resistance?
To love ourselves isn't about transcending our flaws,
Pretending they don't exist or being perfect.
But rather learning to love ourselves despite our limitations.
Making peace with our imperfections,
It's about integrating all parts of us.
To be whole,
To be human.
So keep breathing into this love.
And as you do,
Imagine your heart opening,
Expanding so vast and so wide that all of you fits inside.
Breathing space for both your beauty and your perfect imperfections.
Breathing in to becoming whole.
And as you continue to breathe these loving,
Expansive breaths,
Imagine your entire body,
Your entire being filled and overflowing now with love.
Imagine holding yourself in this inner knowing and feeling that I am worthy of love.
I am love.
And now silently repeat the following words to yourself after my voice.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
And take a moment now to notice how you feel and invite this feeling of deep inner love with you into the rest of your day.
And may this love that you are shine through into all areas of your life and into the world around you.
Namaste.
